In Class Five at the Ninja Academy, Ruri sat in his seat, chatting and laughing with Momokusa Harukawa and Reika Hyuga.
"Ruri, did you know? A few days ago, the Fourth Hokage and his wife sacrificed their lives to protect the village!" Momokusa Harukawa said with a troubled expression.
Ruri nodded and said, "I know! My uncle and aunt both went out to maintain order that day! After they came back, I asked them and learned the whole story!"
"I really envy the love the Fourth Hokage and his wife shared! They could stay together even in death! I have to marry a man like the Fourth Hokage someday!" Reika Hyuga said, propping her head in both hands and looking ahead.
Sigh, if I'd been strong enough back then, the two of them might not have died at the hands of the Nine-Tails! I wonder how little Naruto is doing now! Ruri thought as he looked out the window.
I almost forgot, Hinata Hyuga was born this year too! Konoha's new generation was all born this year! There'll be plenty to watch over the next few years! Ruri thought.
"Harukawa, Linghua, have you ever thought about graduating early?" Ruri turned to look at the two of them as he spoke.
"What! Graduating early? We've never thought about that. We're nowhere near as strong as you, so how could we possibly graduate early?" Reika Hyuga said in surprise after hearing Ruri's question.
Just then, Momokusa Harukawa, who was beside them, blushed and said quietly, "Linghua, I've thought about graduating early!"
"Oh my goodness! Harukawa, graduating early isn't something to joke about! You really are..." Reika Hyuga said helplessly.
Momokusa Harukawa lowered her head and said, "I haven't made up my mind either. I'm still not sure whether I can graduate early!"
