After an hour of fierce fighting, Ruri and the others finally finished off every remaining One-Eyed Monster. It had to be said that although the monsters were very weak, they were still extremely powerful, so the Konoha ninja suffered heavy casualties as well. By then, only a little over a hundred of them remained; the rest were either dead or wounded.
"We won! We finally won!" one of the ninja shouted after they finished off the One-Eyed Monsters.
After that ninja shouted, the other ninja also cheered loudly with joy. Now they had finally finished off all these monsters. They really had worked incredibly hard.
"Captain, we finally finished off all these enemies..." Ruri turned to Kakashi with a smile as he spoke, but just then, his head felt heavier and heavier, as though he were about to fall backward.
