Enhancing the Three Body Technique

At Tenten's family Ninja Tools shop, Tianyun Hyuga and her father had a lively conversation. They soon reached several agreements and discussed how to make more money.

At ten sharp that morning, Tianyun Hyuga left Tiesheng ten enhanced Kunai and headed back to the Ninja Academy with Tenten, whom Tiesheng had practically forced on him.

On the way back to school, Tenten glared at Tianyun Hyuga in displeasure. "What kind of nonsense did you tell my father? Why did he insist that I go to school with you?"

Tianyun Hyuga rolled his eyes. "You should ask your father that. I never told him I wanted to take you to school..."

"Hmph, like I'd believe you! You must have said something to my father..." Tenten retorted angrily.

Tianyun Hyuga shook his head. "If you don't want to go to school with me, you can just go home. It's not like I'll stop you..."

Tenten certainly did not want to follow Tianyun Hyuga, but her father had given her a warning look and told her to go with him. She could only pout and trail behind Tianyun Hyuga. The two slowly made their way toward the Ninja Academy, looking like a young couple having a spat.

Seeing Tenten trailing behind him with a miserable expression, Tianyun Hyuga shook his head helplessly and said nothing more. He understood Tiesheng's intentions perfectly: he wanted Tenten to build a good relationship with him so that, for her sake, he would keep working with Tiesheng.

But Tianyun Hyuga did not like little kids. He had only approached Tenten in the first place to lay the groundwork for today. Now that the deal was settled, he really did not want to keep playing with children. Still, considering that Tiesheng was giving him a fifty-percent share, he could hardly chase Tenten away.

With his little tagalong in tow, Tianyun Hyuga soon reached the Ninja Academy's gates. He turned to Tenten behind him and said, "Go to class first! I still have something to take care of."

Tenten did not want to keep following Tianyun Hyuga either, because the looks passersby gave her made her feel awkward. Now that he was leaving, she shot him a glare and ran into the school.

After sending Tenten off, Tianyun Hyuga went to Ichiraku Ramen again. As soon as he entered, he told Teuchi, "Give me a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. A large one, and don't put in that mountain paste stuff..."

"Why not? The mountain paste adds flavor. Don't you like it, young Tianyun?" Teuchi asked with a smile.

Tianyun Hyuga glanced at Teuchi and walked over to the tall seat meant for children. "Why do you care what I like to eat? Just make it the way I said, or I won't pay. Got it?"

"All right, all right, whatever you say..." Teuchi shook his head helplessly and started making Tianyun Hyuga's ramen.

It was ten forty in the morning, hardly mealtime, so Tianyun Hyuga was the only customer at Ichiraku Ramen.

After sitting down, Tianyun Hyuga looked at his savings of 5.6 million and began considering how to spend them.

Originally, Tianyun Hyuga had only had 1.6 million. When he left the Ninja Tools shop, Tiesheng had pressed another four million on him, saying it was an advance on his pay.

While Teuchi was making the ramen, Tianyun Hyuga reviewed what he could enhance:

First were some of the Hyuga Clan's basic Ninjutsu, all of which Tianyun Hyuga could enhance. However, he felt that they would not be very powerful even after enhancement, making it something of a waste. He might as well let his shadow clones slowly train in them, so he decided against enhancing those Ninjutsu.

Next were the three B-Rank Ninjutsu of the Hyuga Clan that Tianyun Hyuga had just obtained from Hyuga Hiashi. But enhancing all three would cost six million. After some consideration, he decided to leave them alone for now.

Last was a second enhancement of the Three Body Technique, with each enhancement costing one million.

The Three Body Technique consisted of basic Ninjutsu, and Tianyun Hyuga had no idea what would change after a second enhancement. Still, he felt that spending three million to test it out would not be too bad, so he went ahead and spent three million to enhance the Three Body Technique again.

After enhancing the Three Body Technique, Tianyun Hyuga could hardly use it inside the ramen shop. His tonkotsu ramen happened to be ready, so he decided to eat first and find somewhere to test the new Three Body Technique afterward.

But before Tianyun Hyuga could even begin his experiment, his plans went out the window. An excited little boy ran into Ichiraku Ramen and called out upon seeing him, "Big bro, you really are here! I thought I'd seen you on the street just now, but I wasn't sure!"

"Oh, it's you, kid! What do you need your big bro for?" Tianyun Hyuga recognized Naruto Uzumaki as soon as he heard his voice.

Hearing Tianyun Hyuga's reply, Naruto Uzumaki grew even more excited. Tianyun Hyuga still treated him as his little brother and had not distanced himself from him. Thrilled, he told Teuchi, "Boss, give me a bowl of tonkotsu ramen too! I'm treating my big bro to ramen today!"

"Sure. You're being pretty generous today, Naruto!" Teuchi said with a smile.

"Of course! My big bro came here for ramen. How could I not be generous?" Naruto Uzumaki said excitedly, pointing at Tianyun Hyuga.

Teuchi did not dislike Naruto Uzumaki. He smiled and said, "Take a seat first! Your ramen will be ready in two minutes."

Naruto Uzumaki eagerly ran over and sat beside Tianyun Hyuga. As Tianyun Hyuga ate, he asked, "Big bro, why aren't you in class? Did you beat up all those students and send them running again?"

"Stop talking nonsense. You're about to spit into my bowl," Tianyun Hyuga said, looking speechlessly at Naruto Uzumaki as he sprayed saliva while talking.

"Uh..." Naruto Uzumaki hurriedly wiped at his mouth, even though there was no drool there, and said cautiously, "Don't worry, big bro! I won't spit into your bowl. Please don't make me leave..."

Faced with the pitiful-looking Naruto Uzumaki, Tianyun Hyuga shook his head helplessly. "Forget it. Sit here if you want. Just stop asking so many questions. Come somewhere with me later. I happen to need your help with something."

Naruto Uzumaki immediately perked up again. Thumping his chest, he promised, "Don't worry, big bro! Whatever it is, I can do it..."

"All right, hurry up and eat your ramen. You might have a bit of hard work ahead of you..." Tianyun Hyuga said, pointing at the bowl Teuchi had brought over.

Perhaps the aroma of the ramen had captured Naruto Uzumaki's attention. He merely nodded without answering Tianyun Hyuga, picked up his chopsticks, and began shoveling down mouthful after mouthful of noodles. Watching him, even Tianyun Hyuga thought the ramen looked delicious.

Tianyun Hyuga had not actually been very hungry, but seeing how much Naruto Uzumaki enjoyed his meal, he finished his own bowl as well. After Naruto Uzumaki paid, the two left Ichiraku Ramen together.
