Meeting Tianyun Hyuga
Before enrolling at the Academy, Naruto regularly waited near its gates, watching other children leave with their parents and friends. Villagers regarded him with disgust, and he initially assumed Tianyun Hyuga’s beckoning was meant for someone else. Tianyun’s invitation was the first time anyone had approached him voluntarily 13.
Tianyun demanded an ice cream as the price of accepting Naruto as his underling. Despite having little money, Naruto agreed on the condition that Tianyun take him along on future outings. Tianyun accepted him but left the ice cream for Naruto when his mother arrived to collect him. Watching her drag Tianyun away by the ear, Naruto wished someone would scold and care for him in the same way 13.
Helping Test the Three Body Technique
Naruto later worried that Tianyun’s growing reputation as a genius would make him stop spending time with him. When they reunited at Ichiraku Ramen, Tianyun still addressed him as his little brother, reassuring Naruto enough that he enthusiastically paid for their meal and agreed to help with a test 25 28.
