By ninjutsu classification, the techniques taught at school were the most basic ones, ranked E.

But Ling Feng had mastered every ninjutsu below A-Rank, aside from Kekkei Genkai.

As for how strong that made him, you would find out soon enough.

Usually, anyone who learned D-Rank ninjutsu had essentially reached the standard of a Genin.

In other words, a ninja who specialized in odd jobs like running errands, finding cats, and tracking down people.

Next came those who learned C-Rank ninjutsu. They had basically reached the standard of a Chunin, and the village would give them slightly more important missions.

Then came B-Rank ninjutsu. Learning those essentially put you at the standard of a Jonin, making you an important part of the village's fighting force.

Of course, above those were A-Rank and S-Rank techniques, achievements ordinary people could not easily attain.

So mastering everything below A-Rank meant Ling Feng had leaped straight from a school rookie to an elite Jonin.

With a leap like that, how could anyone say he wasn't strong?

He was damn strong!

Too bad that dumbass Asuma still wanted to pick a fight with Ling Feng. What a joke!

If he had picked a fight with Ling Feng a little earlier, he might only have ended up defeated.

Now, though, he was probably in for a very, very miserable time.

Ling Feng eagerly took his stance, ready to try out his newly learned ninjutsu.

With a mere thought, a screen of light appeared in his mind.

All kinds of ninjutsu were neatly arranged on it: Water Release, Fire Release, Lightning Release, Earth Release, Wind Release...

It had everything.

And he could choose any B-, C-, D-, or E-Rank ninjutsu.

That made things a lot more interesting.

Ling Feng could choose different ranks of ninjutsu to show off with depending on the situation.

First, he tried a C-Rank technique, choosing Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!

A sequence of hand seals immediately appeared in his mind.

Ling Feng followed it exactly. With a rumble, an earthen-yellow wall rose in front of him.

"Whoa! That's slick!"

"Let's keep going!"

He unleashed another C-Rank technique: Wind Release: Wind Sand Formation!

A fierce wind instantly howled through the room, sending books and clothes fluttering everywhere with a clatter.

"Hahaha! This is so much fun!"

But just as Ling Feng was about to try a B-Rank technique, his head grew heavy and a wave of exhaustion swept over him.

Lying on his bed, Ling Feng took several deep breaths and figured it out.

Looks like the downside of using ninjutsu above my level is that it drains too much energy!

It made sense when he thought about it.

Ling Feng was only a little over five years old, an age when he should have been learning the Shadow Clone Technique and Transformation Technique. Naturally, he did not have much chakra stored up.

Soon, Ling Feng thought of the goods in the Exchange Shop.

He opened the Exchange Shop again and began browsing and searching.

Found it!

Chakra Replenishment Potion!

It came in small, medium, and large bottles, costing 1, 10, and 100 points respectively.

Then Ling Feng suddenly noticed a grayed-out option after the large bottle, but he could not tell what it was.

"System, what's that grayed-out option after the large bottle?"

The system soon answered.

"In response to the Host, once your points reach one million, you can spend points to upgrade the shop. Every item in it can be updated and advanced, unlocking entirely new, enhanced versions!"

Ling Feng was stunned by the answer.

Entirely new, enhanced versions!

That sounds seriously badass.

Then Ling Feng checked a few other things. Even the S-Rank ninjutsu had a grayed-out button after them. It seemed that everything really could be advanced and enhanced!

But the points required were outrageous. A whole million!

Still, the harder it was, the more excited Ling Feng became. Those advanced, enhanced items were sure to be incredibly powerful!

And so, feeling a little tired, Ling Feng drifted into a deep sleep.

The next day, Ling Feng got up and stretched, finding himself much more refreshed.

He had thought overexerting himself last night would leave him feeling rough today, but the difference was far greater than he had expected.

What's going on?

Looking at his reflection in the mirror, as handsome as ever and growing more so, Ling Feng tilted his head slightly.

Ah! Now I remember.

My talent points are already maxed out, so recovering to peak condition after a night's sleep is perfectly normal, right?

Tsk, tsk. I'm ridiculously strong!

After quickly getting ready, Ling Feng cooked and ate a bowl of noodles, then set off for the place they had agreed on yesterday.

But the moment he stepped outside, he saw Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara waiting for him with little bags on their backs.

"Uh, when did you get here? Have you eaten?"

After a brief moment of surprise, Ling Feng asked them.

If he had known the two girls were outside, Ling Feng would certainly have asked whether they had eaten breakfast and cooked a little more.

That was basic gentlemanly etiquette!

No wonder the little girls in his class liked Ling Feng best.

There was no helping it. Having lived two lives, Ling Feng was unbeatable when it came to handling the little details. These kids were simply no match for him.

"We've both eaten. We had dumplings, and there are still some in our bags. Ling Feng, have you eaten?"

It was Kurenai Yuhi who spoke.

"We didn't know whether you were awake, so we didn't knock," Rin Nohara said.

Looking at their two little faces put Ling Feng in an excellent mood.

"Looks like you're both much more diligent than I am. Thanks for thinking of me. I've eaten too, so let's go."

Ling Feng smiled, locked the door, and walked ahead.

Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara, however, blushed slightly and stuck their tongues out at each other behind his back.

Ling Feng's words had left them terribly embarrassed.

They had not gotten up early because they were diligent at all. On school days, they slept in every day and had nearly been late several times!

And so, the three of them set off for their destination.

About two hours later, they arrived.

It was a small hill on the edge of the village, neither too close nor too far away, and relatively safe.

There were hills and water, and the scenery was lovely. School was boring, and they rarely got to go out for fun, so the children were all delighted.

"Sorry we're late."

Only after Ling Feng and the girls had been playing for a while did Guy, Kakashi, Asuma, and Obito finally turn up.

Clearly, the four of them had come as a group.

"Those two were late." Kakashi pointed expressionlessly at Asuma and Obito, exposing them on the spot.

Asuma and Obito immediately flushed, wishing they could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

They also shot Kakashi vicious glares, but neither dared do anything.

Everyone in Konoha knew Kakashi was a genius. If they fought him, they were certain to lose.

Just then, Asuma noticed that Ling Feng was the only one without a bag and immediately changed the subject.

"Ling Feng, you came out here just like that? You're not going to ask us for lunch later, are you? That's seriously out of line!"

Asuma put his hands on his hips, looking accusatory.

"Don't worry. I won't ask you for anything." Ling Feng shrugged, having no intention of engaging with him.

Asuma was about to say more, but Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara stepped forward.

"So what if he didn't bring anything? Lunch for Ling Feng is on us!"
