Ling Feng grinned happily. So this was another way to earn points!

It wasn't much, but it was free. Why turn down free points?

Asuma and Obito looked as though they'd been struck by lightning, almost coughing up blood.

This was so damn infuriating!

The difference was like heaven and earth!

You had such a great opportunity, and you turned it down without a second thought?

Were our goddesses really that ordinary in your eyes?!

But what was wrong with you goddesses, too?

Ling Feng rejected you to your faces, so why were you still praising him?!

Asuma and Obito were nearly frantic with frustration. They simply couldn't understand it.

Seeing Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara walking on either side of Ling Feng, the two boys felt their vision darken and nearly fainted.

"Hey, are you two okay?" Guy noticed what was happening and kindly stepped forward to support them.

"They probably skipped breakfast and then hiked all the way up here. It's nearly lunchtime anyway. They'll be fine after eating something."

Kakashi spoke from beside them.

That was Kakashi for you. His every word and gesture exuded a cool aloofness. Despite being only five, he possessed an adult's maturity.

Walking ahead, Ling Feng noticed Asuma and Obito's condition and took the initiative to find a spot near a stream where they could stop.

"Let's eat here first. Otherwise, you'll have to support those two the whole way, and we won't get to have any fun."

Ling Feng glanced at the pair of weaklings and spoke casually.

Everyone promptly agreed.

They took out their lunchboxes and prepared to eat.

Only Ling Feng stood up alone and walked toward the stream.

The two girls followed him to the little river.

Kurenai Yuhi held out her lunchbox.

Ling Feng smiled at her words. "Since you've already brought them over, I'll have two. I'll give you something delicious later, too."

Rin Nohara also brought over her lunchbox, which held several pieces of sushi. "I made them myself!"

Ling Feng tried two pieces as well, then gave her a thumbs-up. "Really good! You're a great cook!"

Both Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara were delighted by his praise.

The sight left Asuma and Obito behind them so jealous that even the lavish food in their hands lost its appeal.

Asuma came over with his lunchbox, too.

"Kurenai, I brought a deluxe lunchbox with lots of delicious food! Come try some!"

After speaking, Asuma frantically signaled Obito with his eyes.

Come on! What are you still sitting there for? Someone's about to steal your goddess!

Gritting his teeth, Obito glanced at Kakashi, who hadn't budged, then came over carrying his own lunchbox.

Neither Guy nor Kakashi had moved, which meant that aside from Ling Feng, he had no competition!

An opportunity this good was truly rare!

"Rin, this is our Uchiha Clan's special lunchbox. You can't even get this at the Konoha Snack Shop. Let me share some with you."

Having spoken, Asuma and Obito both looked expectant.

But Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara kept shaking their heads. "That's your food. How could we take it? Besides, you nearly fainted, so you clearly need to replenish your energy. You should hurry up and eat."

With that, Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara sat back down and began eating their own food.

The sight left Asuma and Obito dumbfounded.

Seriously? Didn't all this delicious food tempt you even a little?!

"Oh! Got them!"

Just then, Ling Feng's delighted voice rang out.

Everyone looked up and saw Ling Feng walking over with six fish in hand.

"Catching fish? Hahaha! You're really something, Ling Feng. We're out in the middle of nowhere. Let's see how you eat those!"

Asuma couldn't help bursting into laughter at the sight.

The others also looked skeptical.

Indeed, there were no pots, bowls, or utensils here. Even if he had caught fish, how was he supposed to eat them?

Ignoring their doubts entirely, Ling Feng picked up stones and stacked them, then skewered the fish on branches and laid them on top.

"You're killing me! Oh, Ling Feng, don't tell me you're planning to cook those fish in the sun!"

Asuma continued mocking him.

At those words, Obito couldn't help laughing either.

The others, however, grew interested and put down their bowls and chopsticks to watch.

Seeing their reactions, Ling Feng gave a couple of cold chuckles.

You don't know a damn thing!

Now watch me put on a spectacular show!

Ling Feng stood, stepped back a few paces, and began forming hand seals.

At the sight, everyone fell silent.

No way. This kid was actually forming hand seals!

And they were seals I didn't recognize!

Asuma was stunned, and Obito was equally speechless.

At this point, those two were the ultimate weaklings. They were poor students and equally bad at ninjutsu, so Ling Feng's incredibly fluid hand seals left them completely dazed.

Kakashi's expression was even more serious. As Konoha's acknowledged young genius, he never acted proud or arrogant in public, but inwardly, he was quite pleased with himself.

Yet even a young genius like him had only learned a few respectable C-rank ninjutsu.

The seals Ling Feng was forming were clearly complex. Even if this was only C-rank, it was definitely an offensive ninjutsu.
