Background / History

Shi Quan's Spirit Soul emerged as his Third Martial Soul after the Spirit Awakening Fluid restored and stirred his memories of his previous life. He concluded that it was neither a normal Body Martial Soul nor a dead spirit: it was an externalized fragment of his reborn soul, consciousness, and obsessions. He named it “Spirit Soul” for its connection to willpower, spirit sense, soul, and obsession 3 4.

From its earliest appearance, the Spirit Soul differed from Shi Quan's Blue Silver Grass and Soil Martial Souls. It could condense into a phantom figure, follow Shi Quan's intent, and perform movements independently. Its special nature also allowed it to possess Shi Quan before he had obtained a Spirit Ring, granting him a normal possession state unavailable to ordinary Beast Martial Souls at that stage 4 15.

Six months of nourishment by Shi Quan's yin-yang inner force caused the Spirit Soul to mutate. Its Soul Transformation and Phantom Transformation attributes became permanent, while Shi Quan's growing inner force continued to strengthen all three of his Martial Souls over time 15.

After Shi Quan's later breakthroughs, the Spirit Soul developed aerial movement and heightened perception. Absorbing Reincarnation Power in Dragon Valley triggered its second awakening, elevating it to the highest-tier Golden Grade Awakening and redefining it as the Spirit of Reincarnation 66 205.

The Spirit Soul initially manifests as a phantom figure resembling Shi Quan and commonly appears through possession rather than as an ordinary Weapon or Beast Martial Soul 4.
