Lu Li warned Jun Shutong not to reveal that humans might be able to tame magical beasts, since others could get hurt trying or bring dangerous Pokémon into camp. The chapter ended with the discovery still unverified.
The young Alakazam revealed that he had brought Wangwang Valley seeds with him when he crossed over, prompting the others to question why he had not shared them sooner. The chapter left them considering the valuable food they could have been growing.
Lu Li headed across the skybridge to ask Indeedee to help him find a Pokémon, despite being nervous about the trip. Something whistled through the air behind him as he approached the hotel passage.
After being shaken by Spearow, Lu Li calmed himself by recalling recent good fortune and followed Indeedee. Indeedee enjoyed Lu Li’s positive emotions, and Lu Li relished Indeedee’s cooking.
Lu Li considered Bounsweet as a possible Pokémon to raise, but kept it as a secondary target because it evolved too late for his plans. The rest of the chapter contained a brief exchange about training and a reverse machine.
Lu Li left Jun Shutong in charge of managing the Camp, believing her responsible nature would suit the role and Indeedee. After the meeting, Jun Shutong took Lu Li to her office and signaled for him to leave.
Lu Li learned that humanoid magical beasts and rat magical beasts were fighting downstairs in the Shopping Mall. Though the battle was dangerous, he decided to watch so he could gauge Machoke’s and the Raticate pack’s strength.
After observing a battle, Lu Li considered what Pokémon were made of and noted that Raticate lacked area-of-effect attacks. He recorded his observations at Camp, where Fat Thunder came to his door.
Weedle woke in a strange place and mistook the kind-looking Indeedee for the Pokémon that had taken it. Indeedee examined Weedle and found that, despite its unusually small and skinny body, its life essence was healthy.
Lu Li prepared to challenge a scrawny Weedle, confident that Feebas’s recent training and good condition gave them the advantage. He returned home with Indeedee to prepare extra nutrient solution for Weedle.
Lu Li caught Weedle after the Pokémon decided that joining him was worth the promise of a full belly. Indeedee watched approvingly, and Lu Li released both Weedle and Feebas.
Lu Li read a book about Pokémon care while recovering, and Indeedee checked on him. The preview ended as Indeedee brought him pastries and snacks.
Lu Li met Zhao Limin and asked about his mother, hoping to enlist her help. Zhao Limin described her silkworm-rearing and silk-making expertise, but the preview ended before he could say where she was.
Lu Li and the others crossed the road from the Shopping Mall to Anke Residential Community and took shelter in a restaurant. They reached it without a Flying-type Pokémon attacking them.
Lu Li asked Mrs. Zhao to try weaving cloth from Magical Beast String Shot, and she agreed despite having no experience. The chapter ended with Mrs. Zhao reassured that Lu Li would not retaliate if she failed.
Lu Li led the survivors out of the residential complex after they used red wine to mask the smell of blood. The group returned to the mall, while a Mightyena and its pack found the discarded clothes.
Lu Li received a bottle of expensive Romanée-Conti Grand Cru wine but found it no better than ordinary red wine. Fat Thunder asked to try it, and Lu Li handed him the bottle.
Lu Li felt a brief surge of comfort and suspected that Weedle’s evolution had strengthened his body through their bond. The preview ended with him wondering whether a stronger connection might let him evolve into a Pokémon-human.
Lu Li recognized that Zhao Zhu was pretending to be insane to avoid being used as a sacrifice again. He declared that Zhao Zhu should be killed, leaving his fate unresolved.
On day 26 after the Pokémon arrived, Lu Li led a larger group to the second floor to move supplies, where they encountered a Klink. Elder Xu fled to warn Lu Li, leaving Huang Jiafei frozen in fear near the Pokémon.
Lu Li persuaded Indeedee to help protect the Berries, hoping to make a future move to the academy in Giant's Seat safer. Indeedee examined the sapling but seemed reluctant about it.
After returning home, Lu Li learned that Kakuna wanted to attempt a breakthrough and evolve. He prepared to watch as Feebas encouraged him to bring the water basin closer.
Lu Li considered having Beedrill battle the Pokémon in the Green Belt and on the seventh floor, but decided to focus on helping Beedrill adjust to its evolution and new moves.
After Beedrill joined them, the group felt confident about attacking the Demon Camp. Lu Li warned them to stay quiet because shouting near the aquarium could draw Water-type Pokémon into the mall.
Lu Li confronted Wang Dazhuang and his lackeys with a magical beast, leaving Wang Dazhuang isolated as his followers backed away.
