Lu Li examined reports of deaths among people trying to reach the camp and identified poisonous dust from Butterfree as a likely cause of one victim’s death. He agreed with Jun Shutong to name the survivor camp Dawn and joined her plan to collect rainwater.
Lu Li and Jun Shutong collected rainwater so the camp could boil enough water for everyone to bathe, while Jun Shutong stayed behind to guard against flying Magical Beasts. After bathing, Lu Li returned to find her directing the water collection and reporting that the rain had kept the flying Magical Beasts mostly inactive.
Lu Li persuaded Jun Shutong to use the rain as cover for a trip to the Water Station, while he stayed behind to lead the Camp. Jun Shutong returned with bottled water and immediately set out for another run, leaving Lu Li and the others to carry the supplies inside.
Jun Shutong returned to Dawn Camp with twenty-seven survivors and an unexpected discovery, but three Palpitoad attacked the group with hypnotic and immobilizing moves. Lu Li led the survivors toward the Arcade, where Jun Shutong counted nine people missing.
Lu Li welcomed Wang Haipeng and the rescued survivors into Dawn Camp, then warned Jun Shutong about perfume attracting Magical Beasts and discussed recovering supplies and the camp’s casualties. Jun Shutong showed him a glowing seed found in a bird-type Magical Beast’s droppings, leading Lu Li to suspect Pokémon-world Berries could begin spreading through this world.
Lu Li investigated how Pokémon energy might affect humanity and prepared to grow Pokémon-world Berries with help from experienced farmers. The next morning, Jun Shutong led a supply team to Entrance Seven, where she confronted armed men led by Zhao Zhu.
Jun Shutong interrogated four thugs from Anke Camp and learned that it was controlled by criminals, but Lu Li persuaded her not to launch a risky rescue. He also convinced her to reconsider letting the captured thugs join Dawn Camp, proposing instead that they serve as sacrifices to the Ghost Magical Beast.
Lu Li arranged for Zhao Zhu and his three companions to serve as recurring sacrifices for the Ghost-type Magical Beast, sparing camp residents from that duty. On the ninth day, he reviewed the Pokémon threats around Dawn Camp and its dwindling supplies, then left encouraged by the time he had gained to develop as a Trainer.
Lu Li tried to persuade Mimikyu to protect the Camp from the Rattata, while Mimikyu misunderstood him but decided to keep an eye on the humans it considered its emergency rations. The chapter ended with Lu Li confirming that Pokémon could communicate through actions, though humans and Pokémon could not fully understand each other’s words.
Lu Li cared for Feebas, named it Xiaomei, and tried unsuccessfully to teach it Tackle. Afterward, he went looking for Jun Shutong and learned that she had gone on a supply-gathering trip to the Berthing Hotel.
Lu Li went to the Berthing Hotel after Jun Shutong and her squad failed to return, and learned they were trapped on the sixth floor because of danger on the fourth. He found a female Indeedee delivering food to a hotel guest, leaving him to wonder why she was thriving in the apocalypse.
Lu Li entered a hotel room and learned from Eve Liya that Indeedee had confined the surviving guests while caring for them. When Indeedee tried to communicate with Lu Li psychically, the attempt caused him severe pain, and Indeedee soothed him with a green light.
Lu Li persuaded Indeedee to let him and his companions leave the hotel, while declining Indeedee’s offer to take in everyone from the Camp. Indeedee allowed them to go and invited Lu Li to visit alone if he ever faced danger.
Lu Li led Jun Shutong and the other scavengers out of the hotel after negotiating with Indeedee, who provided supplies and agreed to release them. Back at Camp, Jun Shutong wondered whether intelligent Magical Beasts were keeping humans as livestock, and Lu Li suggested Indeedee might feed on human emotions.
Lu Li worried about how to feed Feebas once his remaining fish food ran out, then visited the Berthing Hotel to invite Indeedee to Dawn Camp. Indeedee accepted and agreed to stay hidden from the Camp’s frightened residents.
Lu Li investigated Indeedee's invisibility after discovering that his phone camera could still capture it. The chapter ended with Lu Li putting his phone away as he reflected on the thirteen days since the apocalypse began.
Lu Li introduced Feebas to Indeedee as part of his family, explaining that Feebas had accidentally fallen into a trash can when the Pokémon arrived. Indeedee greeted Feebas, who curiously studied Indeedee.
Lu Li calmed down after examining three Poké Balls, then recognized a red Apricorn as a raw material for making Poké Balls. He considered how traditional forging expertise could help him make them.
Lu Li fed Feebas the flesh of two Razz Berries that Indeedee had carefully prepared as a gift. He knew the berries alone would not be enough to make Feebas evolve, but used them before they could spoil.
Jun Shutong agreed to help Lu Li gather research materials and called Fatty Lei to assemble a team. Lu Li asked for nutritious supplies and a small amount of beauty and skincare products.
Lu Li and Jun Shutong discussed whether rats could survive among magical beasts as they headed to the sixth floor.
An Kang assured Jun Shutong that the Shopping Mall had been built to standard, while Lu Li tried to determine why the area kept experiencing minor earthquakes. The broken communications equipment left him unable to tell whether the quakes were global or localized.
After the meeting ended, Lu Li hurried back to train Feebas, suspecting its Poké Ball made it easier to communicate with it. The chapter ended before he could continue, with his thoughts on Feebas’s limited moves and lack of egg moves cut off.
After Lu Li guided Feebas, it unleashed a powerful Tackle that smashed through a concrete wall. Lu Li’s excitement turned to worry as he searched the rubble and found Feebas.
Jun Shutong warned Lu Li not to risk his life and left him to his research. Lu Li prepared food for Feebas and began analyzing its Tackle, which suggested it was at least level 10.
