In the stands, Caitlin was watching Qingyu's match with Cynthia before her own turn, scouting the competition in the process, when she suddenly let out a strange cry.

Her voice drew the attention of not only Cynthia, who was focused on the battle, but also the "Sylveon" sitting on her lap, which looked curious.

As a Psychic who already excelled at using Confusion, Caitlin clearly had a deeper understanding of Psychic Power than most people.
That was why she had keenly picked up on something many others seemed to have overlooked.
