Zhang Xiaohua’s removal of the azure gourd disrupted the Incense-Passing Cult’s protective formation, sending him and Meng out into a martial world where Hui Chun Valley faced an attack. After rescuing the valley and uncovering hints of a hidden master, they reached a Great Forest Temple that seemed unlike the one they sought.

• Zhang Xiaohua removed the azure gourd, escaped the collapsing mountain, and disrupted the formation protecting the Incense-Passing Cult, while Abbess Jingyi prepared the cult for its return to the martial world.

Zhang Xiaohua passed Great Forest Temple’s three trials, discovered hidden treasures in Forbidden Wind Valley, and helped Meng investigate her origins, but the people on the temple’s list had been killed. Back at the Incense-Passing Cult, Abbess Jingyi moved to rebuild the Misty Sect and proposed that Ou Yan marry Zhang Xiaohu so he could lead it.

• Zhang Xiaohua and Meng reached Great Forest Temple, where Zhang Xiaohua defeated the Arhat Formation, overcame Kongchan’s Demon Subduing Pestle, and lifted the Town Suppressing Cauldron.
• Zhang Xiaohua explored a hidden chamber in Forbidden Wind Valley, took the Nine-Ranked Lotus Platform and bamboo, and acquired the Wind Pearl.

Trapped on the island, Zhang Xiaohua searched its hidden chambers, killed Peng Yeyu, and found a guarded furnace pit with a network of rat burrows.

• Abbess Jingyi arranged Zhang Xiaohu’s marriage to Ou Yan, but Zhang Xiaohu chose Changge and drank both cups to spare her and Ou Yan before agreeing to lead the Misty Sect under a slow-acting poison.
