Xiao Hua and his companions reached Tongmu City, where their fame brought them into contact with Qing Liuzi and the Immortal Alliance as news arrived that Xuntian City had fallen. After leaving, Xiao Hua intervened when Chen Yuming attacked Sun Qian and killed her, then questioned Sun Qian about her ties to Chen Yi and the Youth-Preserving Grass.

• Chong Taixu and four fellow sword cultivators activated the Tianyi Green Light Great Formation, broke Snowy Realm True Person’s defenses, and destroyed his Nascent Soul as the sword cultivators captured Xuntian City.
• Xiao Hua, Fairy Hongxia, Li Zongbao, and Xiao Mao returned to Xi Kingdom and entered Tongmu City, where their deeds in the Dao Sword Great Battle had made them famous.
• The four visited Tongmu City’s Council Hall, where Li Zongbao recounted their fight with Qin Jian and Xiao Hua placed a wager on Senior Unnamed.
• Chen Yuming took the four to Jingtai Pavilion, where Qing Liuzi stopped them from drinking poisoned wine and invited them to join the Immortal Alliance.
• Xiao Hua declined Qing Liuzi’s offer, and an Alliance envoy intervened when Qing Liuzi attacked the four, and urgent messages then confirmed Xuntian City’s fall and Snowy Realm True Person’s death.
• The four escaped Tongmu City by teleportation, and Xiao Mao left to return to Golden Goose Ridge while Fairy Hongxia questioned Xiao Hua about other women in his life.
• Xiao Hua found Chen Yuming ambushing the wounded Sun Qian and killed Chen Yuming after fighting off her attacks.
• Xiao Hua burned Chen Yuming’s corpse, took her belongings, and asked Sun Qian about her connections to Chen Yi and Gen Qing and the Youth-Preserving Grass.

Xiao Hua reunited with Fairy Hongxia and Li Zongbao, helped uncover Cai Zhuoxia’s fate, and returned to the Thunder Control Sect as the siege of Xuntian City continued. The sect publicly honored him, then held him responsible for the losses at Xuntian City, while his friends welcomed him back to Myriad Thunder Valley.

• Xiao Hua brought Sun Qian to Fairy Hongxia and Li Zongbao, then traveled with them to the Cai Family estate, where Fairy Hongxia introduced him as the one she had chosen.
• Cai Yang and Cai Hongfeng demanded that the Luyang Cai Family relocate, but Xiao Hua revealed his Nascent Soul cultivation and drove them away with the Phoenix Token.
• Xiao Hua raised Cai Zhuoxia’s coffin and found her corpse and severed arm, prompting Li Zongbao to form his Golden Core.
• Xiao Hua told Li Zongbao that Cai Zhuoxia was neither alive nor dead and could not yet be revived, so Li Zongbao took her coffin and left to seek a way to save her.
• Fairy Hongxia asked Xiao Hua to part from her for a while, and Xiao Hua agreed before meeting Zhang Qingxiao, who told him about the battle at Xuntian City.
• As the Dao Sect failed to break Xuntian City’s sword formation, Xiao Hua returned to the Thunder Control Sect, where Fairy Xuanhua and the leaders honored him before assigning him most of the blame for the captured disciples.
• Xiao Hua protested the decision, then revealed Gan Qinghuo to the Great Thunder Hall and left as its leaders reacted with shock.
• Cui Hongshen and Xiang Zhili welcomed Xiao Hua back to Myriad Thunder Valley, where he greeted Wu Qing, Xiangyang, Yan Qinglian, and Dui Qimeng’s daughter Cui Yingying.
