Xiao Hua survived Han Zhu’s betrayal, discovered the Buddhist Sect ruins, and lost Xue Xue and Wu Nai while fleeing his pursuers. Swept through the Great Sumeru Buddha Array, he emerged stripped of much of his cultivation and struggled to recover in the Qiang He Sea while evading its beasts.

• Xiao Hua exposed Han Zhu’s scheme to devour the disciples’ Buddhist power and killed him with the Spirit Severing Primordial Light after severing his link to the Futuo Buddhist formation.
• Xiao Hua entered the Myriad Buddha Diagram, reached the Buddhist Sect ruins, and presented Jiang Liuer to the Buddha Lord before being expelled into a storm.
• True Person Du'e and Shanshengzi pursued Xiao Hua, while Xue Xue and Helpless sacrificed themselves and Xiao Hua used the Other Shore to send rosy light into their blood mists.

Xiao Hua left Lava Island to seek a way to awaken Jiang Liuer and joined Xu Zhuoliang’s expedition to the Western Sea Relic Treasure. The expedition ended in catastrophe, but Xiao Hua entered the Sea Eye after confronting the escaped Fire Dragon Soul and discovering the Origin of Earth within it.

• Xiao Hua defeated Crab Old Monster, then left Lava Island with Xu Zhuoliang, Master Jingchen, Chu Muhuan, and True Person Leopard after learning they came from a continent that knew nothing of Xiaoyu Continent.
• Xiao Hua joined the group’s journey and made an agreement with Chu Muhuan to help the Chu Lineage in exchange for the Clear Spirit Eyes technique.
• Xiao Hua killed a starfish sea beast that attacked the group, and Xuan Cheng later gave him a Water Repelling Incantation before leading the expedition to the Western Sea Relic Treasure.

Xiao Hua survived the Sea Eye and awoke in an unfamiliar Xi Kingdom with his memories and powers obstructed, where he met True Person Xiao and Yuan Ya. Elsewhere, the battle at Demon Subduing Valley ended with Xunle Zhenren’s sacrifice and Zhang Xiaohua’s discovery, and Feng Shu arranged for him to leave the valley discreetly.

• Xiao Hua absorbed the Origin of Earth and drifted into the Sea Eye’s vortex as the West Sea Dragon King discovered the Fire Dragon Soul was missing.
• An old man and Yuan Ya chiseled Xiao Hua from a crystal in an unfamiliar Xi Kingdom, where Xiao Hua began recovering his cultivation and joined them at a ruined temple.
• Xiao Hua helped people in Changsheng Town, confronted men tormenting Liu Yi and Xiao Yun, and learned about Yuan Ya’s past and desire to learn his fist technique.
