In Changsheng Town, Xiao Hua prepared Jiangchao Temple for its challenge with Little Gold Temple while a Liao River disaster brought fishermen and townsfolk into conflict over the Sea God Lord.

• Zhang Xiaohua escaped Fey Shadow Fairy’s ambush, but Qiu Feng pursued him and revealed his plan to kill him and take his ring.
• Feng Shu killed Qiu Feng and returned Zhang Xiaohua’s ring, while Chan Simiao appeared and the two cultivators argued over claiming Zhang’s body.
• Feng Shu and Chan Simiao agreed to conceal Zhang Xiaohua, erased his recent memories, and sealed his middle dantian and Niwan Palace before he fell unconscious in a ravine.
• A green-robed cultivator found Zhang Xiaohua alive and carried him toward Huanghua Ridge.
• Xiao Hua agreed to challenge Little Gold Temple with Jiangchao Temple, while Daoist Master Xiao and Yuan Ya prepared for the contest and Xiao Hua gave Yuan Ya medicinal pills.

Xiao Hua helped Jiangchao Temple gain renown by healing the wounded and resolving the Hao family’s crisis, while Xiao Jian prepared to challenge Little Gold Temple. The arc ended as the two temples agreed to an elimination contest, with Xiao Hua still investigating Xiao Yun and Xiao Jian’s past.

• Xiao Hua gave the villagers hope at Jiangchao Temple, treated Dogger, and drew growing crowds of worshippers while Yuan Ya sought to become his disciple.
• Boss Zheng brought the Pifeng Gang to Jiangchao Temple demanding origin stones, but heavenly lightning killed him, Hermit Xiling, and the gang after they attacked Xiao Jian and Yuan Ya.
• Xiao Hua accompanied Xiao Jian to Hao Manor, where Little Jade’s demonic power threatened the household and Miss Hao warned that calamity was coming to Changsheng Town.
• Xiao Hua calmed Little Jade, reconciled Miss Hao with Steward Hao, and treated her shattered legs, advising her father to respect her needs and warning that demons might come.

Xiao Hua helped save Changsheng Town from the Water Tribe’s flood, but Jiangchao Temple lost its contest with Little Gold Temple as the town revered Guanyin Bodhisattva. He left with Xiao Jian, Yuan Ya, and Liu Yi, bound for Tongzhu Kingdom and seeking Lu Town, while an encounter with Xue Ping opened the possibility of exploring a Daoist ruin.

• Xiao Hua defeated the temple contestants, then agreed to Xingchen’s wager to compare their efforts in saving Changsheng Town from the Liao River flood.
• Xiao Hua fought the Water Tribe while Mo Jianli sought to negotiate, and they discovered the attackers were searching for Xiao Yun, the Water Tribe Princess.
• Xiao Hua used the Pure Water Vase to collect the floodwaters as the townspeople’s devotion strengthened him, while Mo Jianli brought Xiao Yun to the dwarf commander, who withdrew with her.

• Xiao Hua refused Xiao Jian’s suggestion that he become an Imperial Preceptor, then crossed into Gaza Kingdom with his companions and agreed to help Qi Jin’s caravan through bandit country.
• Yuan Ya recognized Butterfly Dance by her laughter and scent, and told Xiao Hua how he had found and raised her before they were separated.
• Bandits attacked Qi Jin’s convoy, and Xiao Hua sent Yuan Ya and his Divine Strength Centipede to fight them while You Zhongquan joined the battle as a wandering hero.
• Xiao Hua traveled with You Zhongquan’s family for a time, then continued with Xiao Jian to Tongzhu Kingdom, where they arrived during the Ghost Festival.
• At Qiyang Temple, Xiao Hua helped Dao Shan feed the beggars by filling the temple’s empty stores with grain, then went with Xiao Jian and Liu Yi to Mingyue Workshop.
• When Young Master Duanmu’s coachman attacked him outside Star Picking Tower, Xiao Hua caught the whip and pulled the man from the carriage, provoking a dispute with the Duanmu Family.
• Xiao Hua entered the Star Palace, traded Linglong Grass for an unidentified Buddhist relic, and posted an offer to exchange spirit herbs for rare or unknown objects.
