Xiao Hua joined Xin Xin in the Profound Water Palace, where they freed her father’s sword and became trapped in an artifact struggle. After Guzhen sacrificed himself and a demonic dragon took control of Xiao Hua, Xin Xin helped him regain himself, and they parted with new gifts and cultivation knowledge.

• Zhai Xingzi and True Lord Huode led cultivators in an assault on the volcano, but Vast Righteous Qi shattered their attack and a Nascent Soul was dragged inside.
• Xiao Hua and Xin Xin fought the Profound Water Ancient Beast and battle puppet, then escaped into the Profound Water Palace after Xin Xin healed Xiao Hua and asked him to help save her father.
• Xiao Hua used the Kunlun Mirror to subdue the Son of Heaven Sword while Xin Xin freed her father’s flying sword, and the pair left the palace through a passage to the Sage River.

Xiao Hua rescued Wang Zhengfei, broke the seal blocking his cultivation, and arranged for Yuan Tongtian to protect Jiang Liuer while he pursued a way to awaken him. As Xiao Hua crossed the collapsing spatial passageways, Black Wind Ridge remained besieged and its defenders realized the enemy was trying to draw him out.

• Xiao Hua sent Gunnian and Gu Zhen into reincarnation together, then left the Sage River and rescued Wang Zhengfei and his mother from the steward’s attack.
• Xiao Hua broke the star-powered seal blocking Wang Zhengfei’s cultivation, and Wang Zhengfei began sensing Spiritual Qi.

Xiao Hua defeated Tongzhu Kingdom’s Confucian cultivators and their Five Brocade Cloud Diagram, then returned to Black Wind Ridge to prepare for seclusion. As Tongzhu’s ruler planned new conquests, a dragon stripped him of the kingdom’s national destiny.

• Qin Qingyu tried to trade Princess Changling for his escape, but Xiao Jian protected her and Xiao Hua returned to defeat Qin Qingyu and subdue the demon kings.
• Xiao Hua entered the Five Brocade Cloud Diagram and overcame its formations, including the Hundred Child Book Formation, Baihou Yuqin’s music, and Xi Bohong’s flames.
• Bei Guo Zhenming and Du Shanjun bound Xiao Hua with earth rings, but he broke free and faced the Execution Stage, using Little Lei to endure its Five Qi True Thunder.
