Pfft!
After piercing the last nameless alien beast with his psionic blade, the day's hunt came to an end.
Five days had passed since the first crystal tower was warped in, and every day Shen Jun led two hundred Protoss into the jungle to hunt alien beasts and collect biological essence.
Their efficiency was high—over a thousand beasts were slain each day. In five days, the area within tens of li had been nearly swept clean of alien beasts.
The harvest was naturally abundant, with biological essence breaking through the 150,000 mark.
This suddenly made Shen Jun's resources plentiful: Crystal Mineral: 15,055, Vespene Gas: 15,255.
"But this can't go on forever. I can't just slaughter every living thing on this planet—that's not a good thing."
Shen Jun pondered for a long moment and reached a conclusion: he couldn't keep this up. He needed to pursue sustainable development.
Rohana could scan the entire planet's data directly, but it required a massive amount of energy—1,000 units each of Crystal Mineral and Vespene Gas. That was why he hadn't asked her to scan from the start.
Now that he had a decent stockpile of resources, it was time to find a mineral vein and develop it in earnest.
"Rohana, begin scanning all data on this planet."
"Understood, Commander. Scanning..."
"Scan complete."
In about ten seconds, Rohana had fully analyzed the planet's resource distribution, geological structure, and life species. Her immense computational power was evident—even humanity's most advanced supercomputer would be nothing before her.
The planet was slightly larger than Earth, with a much smaller ocean area—a land-to-sea ratio of six to four. The terrain was mostly jungle and mountains, the climate generally humid, and the species diverse, very similar to the Protoss homeworld of Aiur.
"Commander, I have detected three Crystal Mineral vein signals and one Vespene Gas geyser signal. The nearest mineral vein is fifty kilometers away, accessible only by crossing a lake."
"Warning: multiple high-energy signals detected. This planet likely hosts an advanced civilization, and in significant numbers."
"..."
Shen Jun propped his chin on his hand. For a life-bearing planet this size, the emergence of a highly intelligent civilization was hardly surprising. But if the Protoss were to thrive, they needed their own planet. If this one already had an owner, didn't that make him an invader?
No, no. A man must uphold martial virtue. How could he ambush a friendly alien civilization?
Think about it—relying on his ability to warp in, launching a surprise attack on their turf without even a shred of decency. Is that good?
It's not good.
He had to advocate for peace. He couldn't seize another's homeland through force.
So, Shen Jun decided to find another planet as a base.
But as an extraterrestrial visitor, invited or not, a guest is a guest. Digging up a bit of ore to replenish resources before leaving—that wasn't too much, was it?
Oh, and there was one thing he almost forgot.
"Rohana, can you give me information on that civilization now? Do they know we're here?"
"Commander, they appear to have strong data-shielding technology. I cannot access their database, but I can detect some of their general movements. Currently, no large biological signals are approaching, so it's likely they haven't discovered us."
"The signal with the highest energy reaction is located deep in the ocean, where interference is also strongest. I cannot extract useful intelligence, but I can provide a surface projection of the ocean. Would you like to view it?"
"View it."
Shen Jun perked up. Even if he couldn't get their information, knowing what they looked like would be fine—maybe he'd recognize them.
A projection screen appeared before Shen Jun, showing a stretch of ocean. At its center was a deep whirlpool, from which black creatures emerged one after another.
These creatures were large, resembling manta rays with an inverted-triangle shape. Their heads bore three large nostrils—one big, two small—taking up most of their faces. They hovered above the sea surface, capable of flight.
Rohana narrated her conjectures and judgments as the projection played, but the moment Shen Jun saw the creature's full form, he couldn't hear a single word.
Trigonians!
Too similar—Shen Jun swore that manta ray was a Trigonian!
And those bizarre alien beasts—were they Beast Body?
"That means... the universe I've crossed into is Super God Academy..."
At that moment, a tidal wave surged through Shen Jun's heart, quickly turning into wild elation. What resource was most abundant in Super God Academy?
Beautiful women!
Angel He Xi—my absolute favorite!
And Keisha, Liang Bing, Yan, Qiang Wei, Leina...
Shen Jun's drool nearly spilled, but having been the Protoss leader for a few days, he had to maintain some dignity. He soon snapped out of his fantasy.
Though back when he watched Super God Academy, his attention was mostly on the beauties, he still knew about the six great god-making civilizations of the Known Universe.
The God River Civilization—once the strongest, now fallen. The Angel Civilization, which succeeded them as the strongest. The Demon Civilization, hostile to angels. The Lieyang Civilization, devoted to neutrality. The Deno Civilization, obsessed with arms. And the most mysterious, the Dark Civilization.
Shen Jun didn't know what time period this was, but the Trigonians' activity occurred 20,000 years before the main storyline began. At this point, the Demon and Dark Civilizations hadn't been established yet, and it was the eve of the Second Form War.
Then again, it could also be the timeline after the Form War, when the Trigonians were lying dormant.
Wait...
Shen Jun suddenly recalled the most important concept in Super God Academy: the Ultimate Fear. And the representative of the Ultimate Fear was... the Void.
And in StarCraft, the Xel'naga representing the Void was none other than Amon!
Though these were two different universes, since even the Protoss could traverse the cosmos, there was no reason the far more powerful Amon couldn't do the same. Shen Jun had a suspicion: back then, Kerrigan hadn't actually killed Amon—he had escaped into the Super God Universe, and through some means, obtained the power of the Ultimate Void, perhaps even replacing it...
A sense of crisis, an unprecedented sense of crisis, surged into his heart. Amon could descend upon the Super God Universe at any moment, and the time Shen Jun had to develop was running short.
From the plot of Super God Academy, if this was currently on the eve of the Form War, there should be at least twenty thousand years left. The Protoss's technological development was very rapid, and surpassing their original level would be easy. But a new problem had emerged.
Lifespan.
The Protoss only lived for about a thousand years—far shorter than the Super Gene bearers of the Super God Universe. A second-generation super soldier could easily live for ten thousand years after unlocking their Gene Lock, and a Third Generation God Body was detached from the physical form entirely, able to live forever as long as energy was sufficient.
The combat power of the High Templars generally exceeded that of second-generation super soldiers, and the most powerful heroes could even rival God Bodies. But in the end, they couldn't live that long.
Shen Jun's situation here was even more awkward. He was just a human; normally, living to seventy or eighty would be good. Even with psionic energy to slow aging, he couldn't live past three hundred years.
Therefore...
The Super Gene Code—Shen Jun was determined to obtain it!
