"Who is Miss Ishana?"
Caitlin did not know Kaim's older sister, Ishana. Cynthia had met her by chance while visiting Kaim's parents, so it was hardly surprising that Caitlin knew nothing about her.
"She's Kaim's older sister. We happened to meet when I visited his parents the other day."
"Your sister? And what's this about my parents' house?"
"I had some business in the Hoenn Region."
While heading to the farthest Lonely Island marked on the Sea Chart commissioned by Professor Odo, the two had visited Kaim's parents. Kaim's older sister, Ishana, had happened to be there, and Cynthia had become friends with her.
This time, when Kaim told her that today was Cynthia's birthday, Ishana had sent her a present without hesitation.
Visiting his parents means their relationship has their approval, doesn't it? These two really do move at their own pace.
Visiting his parents felt like a countdown to an engagement, but Caitlin did not say so. Convinced of it, she kept her mouth shut.
Unaware of Caitlin's thoughts, Cynthia took Ishana's letter out of the envelope attached to the bag.
"Dear Shirona,
Happy birthday! This time, I'm giving you a present not as Kaim's older sister, but as Cynthia's friend. I've put together some cosmetics you've used. They're really good, and I've also picked out things that look promising from a stylist's perspective, so I'd be delighted if you used them!
I imagine being both a Champion and a scholar is very difficult, but please take care of yourself and do your best!
