"Well now! That Lucario certainly has an unusual color!" Avalugg had recovered some health again thanks to Ice Body. I had a plan. Close Combat had barely worked against Avalugg's Gyro Ball, but maybe that move would do the trick. "Louise, use Power-Up Punch!" It was a move that kept growing stronger as long as it landed on the opponent.
Wulfric said, "Well now! That won't work! Gyro Ball!" Sure enough, Louise charged in and punched the vortex, only to be sent flying! "But that fist turned red, so its power has increased."
Now it was our turn to take a hit. "Use Avalanche!" Countless chunks of snow converged on Louise. Apparently, it could also return twice the damage of the opponent's move. This was one tough battle! Power-Up Punch hammered away at Avalugg's Blizzard, but not a single blow broke through. Instead, Louise was taking even more damage from Avalanche. On top of that, Avalugg could still recover health with Ice Body.
Perhaps Wulfric wanted to try another move. "Well now! Avalugg, Stone Edge!" This was exactly what I had been waiting for! "Louise, jump onto the stage he's prepared for us!"
Wulfric laughed. "It's no use! Block with Gyro Ball!"
I laughed too. "Hmph, punch straight into the center of the typhoon!" Bang!
