From his conversation with Nidoking, he also learned that these Thieves only operated at night. The darkness provided the perfect cover, and combined with their incredible speed, it made their movements seem eerie.
It had been too dark for Nidoking to identify the Pokémon his opponents used. That made investigating the poachers particularly difficult for Chu Xing. He knew neither who they were nor what Pokémon they used, let alone where they would strike next.
The traces left on the ground by the battle between Nidoking and the poachers were their only lead. Chu Xin could only search them for the information he needed.
Studying the battle marks on the ground, Chu Xin pulled Luo Luo over to analyze them, hoping they could identify the opposing Pokémon from the traces it had left.
Fortunately, Chu Xin had Luo Luo. As a Breeding Rotom, he had an extensive database of Pokémon and related information. Different Pokémon had different characteristics and fighting styles. Chu Xin wanted Luo Luo to use those differences to analyze the battle marks and identify any other species involved. That would reveal which Pokémon had fought Nidoking.
Following Chu Xin's instructions, Luo Luo activated all his functions and began analyzing the battle marks. Fortunately, the weather had been clear lately, with no rain, and the battle had taken place fairly recently. The traces were still remarkably intact, allowing Luo Luo to infer roughly which Pokémon had been involved.
"How is it, Luo Luo? Any leads? What Pokémon fought Nidoking?"
Chu Xin questioned Luo Luo, who closed his eyes and carefully searched his internal database to analyze the evidence. Before long, he reached a conclusion.
"I've finished my analysis. The Pokémon that fought Nidoking was most likely a Flying type. Based on its size and attack patterns, the closest
