When they arrived at the entrance to the Battle Department's Training Room, they found a crowd gathered outside. Fortunately, everyone was fairly orderly, forming a long line despite their numbers.
"So how are we supposed to get in? Do we have to line up here too?"
Chu Xin turned to Zhuo Xing. He wanted to sign up for the selection trials too, but with a line this long, he probably wouldn't get his turn until tomorrow. He had no desire to stand in line that whole time.
Zhuo Xing rolled his eyes at Chu Xin, then pushed him toward the entrance while carrying a sleeping bag.
"Forget about them. Let's get these sleeping bags inside first. Once we're in, I'll have my brother assess your strength. Consider it a perk for helping me out."
Chu Xin raised his eyebrows and happily carried his sleeping bag inside. He really hadn't expected Zhuo Xing to help him like this, but it felt great. Compared with all the students lining up outside, getting in through the back door was incredibly satisfying.
Sure enough, people always hated special privileges, but never objected to having those privileges themselves.
After entering the Training Room with Zhuo Xing, Chu Xin soon spotted a few familiar faces. Qiu Shifeng and Li Xunming were selecting students for the Academy Tournament. He hadn't expected Qiu Shifeng to be here too, though. Wasn't he a Research Department student?
Chu Xin didn't dwell on it. He carried his sleeping bag farther inside, greeting Qiu Shifeng and Li Xunming as he passed them, then followed Zhuo Xing into the inner training area.
