Although they had found the entrance to the secret realm, Bai Le and Chu Xin were in no hurry to enter. Instead, they pitched a small tent outside the entrance and began resting.
Both of them had trekked a long way through Tentacruel's territory and were already exhausted from the journey. Their chances of success were slim in that condition, so Chu Xin and Bai Le agreed that resting before entering was their best option.
After resting for over another hour, Bai Le and Chu Xin finally returned to peak condition. However, after all that time on the road, it was already getting dark.
Bai Le glanced at the sun about to set, then checked his watch.
"It's almost eight in the evening. We'll only have time for one exploration attempt. If we fail, we'll have to wait until tomorrow to try the Trial again."
Chu Xin turned to look at the small tent they had just pitched nearby. Although they had set up a campsite outside the secret realm, they had not prepared any camping supplies.
"If we fail, let's come out, tidy up the campsite, and get dinner ready. We haven't built a campfire for tonight or even gathered any fuel. Camping out in the wilderness without a fire at night is pretty dangerous.
As for the secret realm, if we don't succeed on our first attempt, we can try again tomorrow. We're here already, after all. Our next goal is to clear the Trial, and that isn't something we can accomplish in a short time."
Once Bai Le and Chu Xin had agreed on a plan, they summoned their Pokémon. Only four would actually take part in the fighting: Bai Le's Scyther, and Chu Xin's Xiao Wu, Kaka, and Electrike.
