Chapter 116: Rain
He opened his eyes to a white ceiling.
Well, it felt just like coming home. He was in the hospital again.
Dark clouds filled the sky outside, and thunder rumbled. It looked about to rain.
"I think I can ask Mother to arrange a bed just for you from now on."
Xue Ge heard Muzi's voice. She was looking at him helplessly. "You need to be more careful."
"Sorry," Xue Ge replied.
"..." Muzi held her head and shook it.
Muzi was not the only one in the ward. Kakashi and Shisui were there too.
"You were out for a lot less time than last time," Kakashi said from his chair. "It's noon the next day now. That's progress."
"What exactly happened last night? The whole village is in an uproar, and rumors are everywhere." Shisui looked at Xue Ge worriedly. "I heard Kumogakure tried to abduct someone under cover of darkness, and you were injured trying to stop them?"
"Yes." Xue Ge nodded. "They took Natsu Hyuga. I went to stop them."
"Were they strong?"
"Very strong." Xue Ge paused. "Probably Jonin..."
"You fought Jonin alone..." Shisui rubbed his temples. "How do you always end up running into such trouble...?"
"What matters is that he's all right," Kakashi said, probably to reassure Shisui.
After looking around, Xue Ge asked, "Where did Minato-senpai go?"
"Minato-sensei went to find his teacher," Kakashi said. "The village is practically turning upside down right now."
"Kumogakure's envoys turned the accusation back on Konoha. They claimed Konoha deliberately staged the whole thing to frame Kumogakure, killing two of their Jonin in a trap in the process, along with a young man who had great potential to develop a kekkei genkai."
"Now Kumogakure's envoys are threatening war between the two villages unless we
