Xue Ge lay quietly on the laboratory table, watching Orochimaru slowly inject the anesthetic into his body.
Wearing a surgical mask, Orochimaru glanced at Xue Ge and smiled with narrowed eyes. "What happened in the Forest of Death today must have had something to do with you, wouldn't you say, Xue Ge-kun?"

As he spoke, Orochimaru patted Xue Ge's hand. "Those snakes had something to do with you, Xue Ge-kun. That's why I said that."
"But I'll handle the aftermath for you, Xue Ge-kun, so-you have nothing to worry about. You only need to cooperate with me."
After a moment of silence, Xue Ge closed his eyes and said, "I still have an exam the day after tomorrow."
