Uchiha Naruto used a Bird Clone to stage Uchiha Itachi’s clash with the Metropolitan Police Department, then returned home and considered what the encounter revealed about supernatural powers in Tokyo. He left wary of both the authorities and the organized monsters whose abilities resembled ninjutsu.
Uchiha Naruto navigated his first week of high school while testing his Sharingan’s copying ability and trying to avoid attention. As the Item Shop’s Six Paths Tools caught his eye, he also worried about running out of money to feed his growing appetite.
Uchiha Naruto, short on money and hungry, delivered documents to Matsudaira Chiyo, the wealthy student who had summoned him to ask how she had fallen into the lake. He denied knowing what had dragged her underwater, and Chiyo offered to help him if he ever had trouble at school.
Uchiha Naruto sought Matsudaira Chiyo’s help avoiding club activities so he could work part-time, and she offered him a way to do both through her Support Club. He was tempted by a paid job at a classmate’s izakaya and received a club application form.
Uchiha Naruto arrived at the Takasaki family izakaya for his first shift and met Takasaki Tsuki’s blunt younger sister, Anzu. After impressing Anzu with his knife skills, he helped the sisters prepare the restaurant to open before six.
Takasaki Tsuki and Takasaki Anzu struggled to attract customers while their father was sick, with Uchiha Naruto helping in the kitchen. After a regular praised Tsuki’s Nanban Chicken and customers began trickling in, a fisherman arrived with a lively sea bream and hoped to have it made into sashimi.
Takasaki Anzu tried to prepare a customer's sea bream sashimi but froze when the fish startled her, so Uchiha Naruto stepped in and impressed the customers with his exceptional knife skills. The angler praised the sashimi and claimed the entire plate for himself, starting a quarrel with Hasegawa.
Yuuji Kanbara was transferred and promoted to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Affairs Department after reporting his encounter with an evil spirit. As a meeting about two human superhumans was called, he learned more about the department’s supernatural investigations and the dispute over listing Master Chiriku as wanted.
Yuuji Kanbara attended a meeting where the police leadership reviewed footage of the mysterious young man who rescued livestreamers from a supernatural entity. The investigation remained unsettled, with the Fourth and Fifth Divisions at odds over the case and the young man’s powers.
Metropolitan Police Department officials debated the origins and threat of the human superhumans Chiriku and the red-eyed man, while struggling to find any trace of them. The Superintendent General withdrew Chiriku’s wanted notice, delayed issuing one for the red-eyed man, and ordered the search to continue alongside renewed inspections of Tokyo’s temples and shrines.
A monstrous Rokurokubi hunted a drunk office worker in an alley, then learned that the Metropolitan Police Department had found a genuine human superhuman. The monster ordered its followers to prepare for trouble and postpone its plan to seize Japan.
Uchiha Naruto brought the lunch Takasaki Tsuki had made and discussed Matsudaira Chiyo with Tanaka Hikaru, who became eager to join the Support Club. Naruto introduced him to Chiyo, who agreed to interview him alone, while Naruto noticed a news report about Self-Defense Forces exercises in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Uchiha Naruto learned that the police were escorting a monster to a Self-Defense Forces exercise in Yamanashi and watched the operation through his Summoning Crow. The red-furred bear monster escaped into the Okuchichibu Mountains as armed forces prepared to pursue it.
During a Self-Defense Forces exercise, helicopters drove a red-furred bear monster into an artillery target zone, where Type 16 Maneuver Combat Vehicles bombarded it. The tracking signal vanished, and Section Chief Mori believed the monster had been destroyed as he celebrated the military’s power.
Uchiha Naruto considered how to survive against modern weapons and resolved to grow stronger, then studied at school before returning to work at the Takasaki Izakaya. The Takasaki sisters offered to provide his lunches, and he joined them in preparing the restaurant for opening.
Uchiha Naruto helped Takasaki Tsuki restore sashimi to the izakaya’s menu and began teaching Takasaki Anzu his knife skills. After closing, a young monk tried to recruit the sisters into the True Faith Society, but Anzu drove him away, and Naruto discarded his pamphlet.
Uchiha Naruto prepared exceptional cherry salmon sashimi for Matsudaira Chiyo at the Takasaki Izakaya, while Chiyo investigated the shop in disguise. A commotion at the entrance interrupted their meal when a man claimed he should inherit the shop.
Matsudaira Chiyo stopped Takasaki Tsuki’s estranged half brother from extorting the Takasaki sisters, exposing his fake yakuza tattoos and having Ah Xiu take him away. A week later, Uchiha Naruto spotted the blond punk hiding with the young monk and watching the izakaya.
Uchiha Naruto's crow followed the blond thug as he joined Yoshio Inokuchi and the Iijima Family in a plot to kidnap twin schoolgirls for the True Faith Society. The crow took control of the van driver, sending the yakuza plunging into the Arakawa River.
Uchiha Naruto investigated the True Faith Society after learning that it planned to kidnap the Takasaki sisters for a sacrifice, and he went to see whether its leader truly possessed supernatural powers. At the society’s headquarters on Mount Bukō, the leader demonstrated an apparently real golden Buddhist palm before hundreds of followers.
The True Faith Society's Master used supernatural power to reinforce his followers' devotion, but his power appeared to act against his will when he killed a government agent. As the society prepared a sacrifice, a mysterious bamboo-hatted monk arrived and fought its guards.
A bamboo-hatted monk slaughtered the True Faith Society’s guards and forced his way toward the leader’s sacrifice ceremony. He left Kimura enthralled and dead, while the Twinborn remained tied up for the ritual.
Uchiha Naruto, disguised as Chiriku, confronted the True Faith Society’s cult leader after the leader’s attempted sacrifice was stopped by rain. He shot his way through the cult’s followers and pursued the leader into the worship hall, where gunfire exposed a strange green eye inside the Wisdom King statue.
Uchiha Naruto confronted the Twin-Body Buddha, a monster that had helped the True Faith Society's leader fake supernatural powers. After the monster killed the leader, Naruto used Sharingan-controlled monks to attack it, but the Twin-Body Buddha protected itself with golden light and slaughtered them.
Uchiha Naruto fought the Twin-Body Buddha, whose golden shield deflected bullets, explosives, and his kunai. After Naruto shattered the shield with a Great Fireball, the injured monster looked up at a scarlet full moon with three spinning tomoe.
