The Glory Legion infiltrated Hozuki Castle Prison to search for Gaara while Ye Chen and Jiraiya gathered intelligence in Amegakure. The siege brought Granny Chiyo face-to-face with Hidan, whose body remained unharmed after she cut him apart.

• Kakashi Hatake held off Deidara while Raijin rescued him, and the fighters regrouped after Gaara disappeared.
• Master of Open Stratagems persuaded Granny Chiyo to join his plan, then led a small force to Hozuki Castle and let Mujo capture them.
• Master of Open Stratagems summoned allies inside the prison, freed prisoners, and led them into a fight against the Ghost Lantern Guards.
• Granny Chiyo and Master of Open Stratagems learned that Mujo’s Heavenly Prison restrictions could ignite, while the Soulwood Casket revived a rogue ninja without his restriction.
• The Allied Shinobi Forces assaulted Hozuki Castle as Mujo moved between threatened walls, and Granny Chiyo ambushed him to demand Gaara’s location.
• Hidan and Kakuzu arrived, and Hidan offered to reveal Gaara’s whereabouts if Granny Chiyo defeated him.
• Granny Chiyo trapped Hidan in her Mechanical Light Shield and cut him into pieces, but he remained alive and unharmed.

Granny Chiyo and the Allied Shinobi Forces fought Kakuzu and Hidan at Hozuki Castle while Black Zetsu seized control of the chaos inside. The castle forces contained the Nine-Tails and rallied for the front, where Kakuzu tried to escape with Hidan but was surrounded.

• Granny Chiyo wounded Hidan with the Chikamatsu puppets, but he used her blood to activate his curse and shared his wounds with her before her self-destructing puppets demolished part of the castle wall.
• Raijin, San Feng, Corpse Bearer, Bullfighting Master, and One Sword Opens Heaven attacked Kakuzu, but Kakuzu destroyed Raijin’s heart and unleashed a massive blast as the others fled.
• Granny Chiyo emerged from the Soulwood Casket and confronted Mujo, who set Naruto, Kankuro, Temari, and other captives on fire, causing the Nine-Tails to take control of Naruto.
• Black Zetsu possessed Bibiye and trapped the castle fighters in a sensory-blinding Genjutsu, while Old Yu Next Door stood between him and Granny Chiyo and endured his attacks.
• The Nine-Tails broke free, and Granny Chiyo used the Soulwood Casket to resurrect many of those it had killed, while Master of Open Stratagems organized the Hidden Jun Village players against disguised White Zetsu.
• Yamato sealed the Nine-Tails and restored Naruto to human form, then sent Granny Chiyo to reinforce the front after learning Kakuzu was holding the line.
• Raijin returned through the Soulwood Casket and told Master of Open Stratagems that Kakuzu had taken his heart, prompting the forces to concentrate on Kakuzu.
• Granny Chiyo and Raijin reached the front with reinforcements as Kakuzu tried to flee with Hidan, but the pursuing forces surrounded him and he dropped Hidan, declaring they were on their own.
