Background / History

Kaido controls Wano Country through the Beasts Pirates’ alliance with Shogun Orochi. Although Orochi holds the shogun’s title, Wano’s influential residents recognize Kaido as the country’s true master. The two have an agreement not to interfere in each other’s territories 15 35.

Kozuki Oden failed to defeat Kaido, and Yamato’s admiration for Oden became the basis of her rebellion against her father. Kaido confined her to Onigashima and had her placed in Seastone Handcuffs at the age of eight.
