"Xie Wen, there's another giant uncle, meow!"
The Research Commission followed Brogy to the two giants' usual battleground and saw Dorry, who had a long beard and held a giant sword.
"Don't tell me the reason they've been missing for a hundred years is that they've been fighting here?" Watching the two giants already locked in combat, Ai Haibara Meow couldn't help quipping, "Are both these giants idiots, meow?"
"To be precise, most of the Giant Tribe are like this. A warrior's honor comes before everything, and their lifespans are three times a human's, so fighting for a hundred years isn't anything unusual for giants... well, probably."
As Xie Wen explained, he watched the battle between the two giants without blinking, also sensing their auras with Observation Haki.
The giants were certainly powerful. Thanks to their enormous bodies alone, even an ordinary swing of a sword rivaled Xie Wen's Heaven-Splitting Ruin in destructive power and covered an even larger area.
But...
They also didn't seem all that strong.
Because, setting aside the destructive power their massive size afforded them, there wasn't actually much special about Dorry and Brogy's fight.
In short... they didn't seem to know Haki. Xie Wen hadn't sensed either Armament Haki or Conqueror's Haki from them. Observation Haki was harder to distinguish, but judging by their headlong, brute-force fighting style, they probably didn't have that either.
For Dorry and Brogy to have become captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, they surely ranked among Elbaf's strongest. The chances of them not knowing Haki existed were far too low.
Surely it couldn't really be that the version hadn't been updated, so their Haki hadn't been implemented yet?
As for Brogy being easily taken down by Mr. 3 in the manga...
That was because he'd fought Dorry twice in quick
