Perona went through several emotional ups and downs in a very short time.
From her initial delight at seeing Moria appear, to her shock when Klee Meow revealed her Logia Devil Fruit powers, and then her worry over whether she could be rescued when she saw the two sides actually fighting to a standstill, with neither gaining the upper hand.
But she had barely had time to worry before Klee Meow blew the castle apart. Fortunately, although Perona was restrained by Seastone Handcuffs, she was still in ghost form, so even though she was buried under a pile of rubble, she merely got a fright when she fell.
In fact, buried beneath the stones, Perona was secretly praying that Xie Wen and the others would simply forget about her...
And then they really did forget about her.
But before Perona could secretly rejoice, she discovered to her horror that Xie Wen and the others-the cats included-who had remained so calm all along, suddenly looked as though they were facing a formidable enemy and swiftly retreated from the battlefield.
Under these circumstances, even though Perona knew her ghost form made her immune to most damage, she still felt panicked...

So Perona did not hesitate to shout at the top of her lungs, "W-wait! What about me?!"
Immediately afterward, her shouts were drowned out by an enormous explosion. Watching the flames erupt violently nearby, Perona was filled with despair.
"Waaaaah! I'm going to die!!! Somebody save me!!!"
Amid the flames and a series of explosions, the sobbing Perona was inevitably sent flying. Certain she was doomed, her eyes rolled back and she passed out before she even landed.
