They had fought Smiley and then Rathalos, and Suika Meow had even turned into Ultraman Cat and caused such a commotion that the survivors hiding on the island couldn't possibly have missed it. Yet even after their feast ended, those people still hadn't come looking for them.
"Could they have mistaken all that noise for a fight between... this one and that Rathalos?"
Hua Mei Meow pointed at Smiley, who was obediently huddled off to one side. Then Scarlet Tiger-sama scratched her head. "Speaking of which, shouldn't we give this one a name, meow?"

Smiley let out a feeble cry, probably trying to say there was already a name, but unfortunately, no one could understand.
And Xie Wen wasn't actually sure whether the name was Smiley, Surume, or something else. There were plenty of different translations of the pirate manga, after all.
Besides, since they had snatched this one from Caesar, why keep using the name he had given?
So he turned to Klee Meow.
Normally, naming things was left up to Klee Meow, but...
There were already enough "Dudus" in the Research Commission. If they kept adding more, Xie Wen worried that one day he would mix all those names up.
Or rather, he was already having trouble telling them apart.
