As Big Mom's Tea Party began, other guests started arriving on Whole Cake Island one after another.
Most guests did not dare to be as carefree as Xie Wen, coming to Totto Land several days early to sightsee. They timed their arrivals precisely, and even those who came early chose to linger in the waters outside Totto Land before sailing in at the appointed time.
Only a small number of people close to the Big Mom Pirates, along with members of some affiliated pirate crews, landed on Whole Cake Island early. By then, however, Xie Wen was usually wandering around Totto Land, so he barely ran into any of them.
Only after the Tea Party officially began and Xie Wen returned to Whole Cake Island with the cats did Pekoms introduce him to several members of pirate crews who had never appeared in the manga but, like Capone Bege, had married into Big Mom's family...
Xie Wen vaguely remembered two of them. They were probably Supernovas from previous years.
But compared with Big Mom's sons- and daughters-in-law, far more of those connected to her through marriage were actually her husbands...
Although Big Mom's policy toward her "husbands" was to discard them once they had served their purpose, some ties did remain. Those with decent strength could even secure minor officer positions in the Big Mom Pirates.
Aside from these people who did not even qualify as extras in the manga and were, at most, part of the background setting, there were naturally some whom Xie Wen recognized, or rather, knew of. Foremost among them was...
