The next day, the day the Reverie officially began, the kings of more than fifty Affiliated Nations from across the world headed to the conference room in Pangaea Castle early.
Most of the remaining royal family members and their accompanying guards gathered in the same plaza as the day before, socializing with all sorts of agendas.
Although Xie Wen had no need for that sort of thing, he and the cats still had to watch over the two princesses, Shirahoshi and Vivi, so they had no choice but to come along...
And then a crowd surrounded him, trying to strike up conversations.
Only a small portion were acquaintances who had not managed to speak to Xie Wen yesterday. Most were strangers hoping to get on good terms with him, along with a very few idiots hoping to lure his cats away.
Xie Wen did not even need to deal with that last sort himself. The others, along with their more sensible companions, dragged them away first.
What frustrated Xie Wen most was that, even while this crowd was annoying him to no end, he could still feel Cavendish's resentment-filled gaze...
If they had not been in the wrong place for it, Xie Wen really would have gone over and given that idiot another beating.
Aside from this somewhat annoying socializing, nothing particularly unusual happened on Xie Wen's side. With Saint Mjosgard watching over Shirahoshi, hardly anyone even bothered her... everyone was busy sucking up to the Celestial Dragon.
So, later on, Xie Wen simply took the cats over to stay there too, and things immediately grew quiet around him...
"Big Brother Xie Wen, it's so boring here... Klee wants a story, meow!"
