• Xie Wen told Iceburg he wanted to use Galley-La's shipyard to add a new function to the Toot Toot Forward, and Iceburg charged him a normal rental fee.
• Kalifa questioned Xie Wen about his return to Water 7, and he claimed that Dials from Sky Island had inspired the ship upgrade.
• Xie Wen slipped out of the dock with Meowrah, Ai Haibara Meow, Klee Meow, and Shalmeow, and they used sleeping gas to incapacitate Franky and his crew.
• Meowrah found the Pluton Blueprints inside Franky's body, read them with Ai Haibara Meow, and returned them without making a copy.

• Ai Haibara Meow dismissed the idea of ghosts, and Shalmeow insulted Hua Mei Meow while arguing with her; Xie Wen calmed Hua Mei Meow and assigned both troublemakers punishments.

• Klee Meow chased a ghost toward Thriller Bark, and waves pushed the Toot Toot Forward and Brook’s ship toward the island.
• An invisible Absalom attacked Robin, but Xie Wen struck him down and Ai Haibara Meow restrained him with Seastone so she could study his animal-tissue transplants.
• Klee Meow burned the ships free of a giant spiderweb, and Xie Wen sent the Toot Toot Forward into the sky before the group entered Thriller Bark.
• The group encountered a stitched three-headed dog, and Link Meow cut it apart while Klee Meow burned its writhing pieces to ash.
• A shadow flew away from the ashes as the group learned the creature was a corpse animated by Moria’s Devil Fruit ability.

Perona sent Negative Hollows after Xie Wen and his companions, while Klee Meow tried to capture one and Brook fell into despair after being struck by it. Xie Wen exposed Perona’s hiding place, and she unleashed her ghosts against the group.

• Perona learned that the zombies guarding the castle were being defeated and decided to confront Xie Wen and his companions herself.
• Klee Meow burned the remaining zombies, while Brook grew despondent after seeing how powerful she and the other cats were.
• A Negative Hollow passed through Brook and made him despair, and Xie Wen realized his Observation Haki could not detect the ghosts or Perona.

Hua Mei Meow unleashed a powerful Conqueror’s Coating strike against the General Zombies, while Meow Jūshirō took over Brook’s fight with zombie Ryuma. After their duel, Meow Jūshirō concluded that the swordsman before him was not the real Ryuma.

• Hua Mei Meow cut through most of the General Zombies with a single strike, then collapsed from exhaustion as Xie Wen cared for her.
• Meow Jūshirō and Link Meow defeated the remaining General Zombies, and Klee Meow burned the zombies to ashes.
• Zombie Ryuma overwhelmed Brook, so Xie Wen sent Meow Jūshirō to fight him.

Xie Wen and the cats entered Moria’s castle after defeating Ryuma and most of the zombies, while Moria remained asleep because his notification system had failed. As they explored, the bored Klee Meow confronted a disguised Deer-Head Zombie, and Moria finally appeared to challenge them.

• Meowrah marveled that Ryuma had retained memories and resisted Devil Fruit powers, while Xie Wen collected Shusui and obtained his third Weapon Fragment.
• Xie Wen proposed leaving, but Klee Meow, Shalmeow, Ai Haibara Meow, and Hua Mei Meow wanted to stay, so the group continued toward Moria’s castle with Perona and Brook.

• Klee Meow’s flame clones and Dudu Bear fought Moria’s Doppelman, but neither summon could defeat the other.

Klee Meow’s upgraded bomb destroyed much of Moria’s castle and knocked Moria unconscious, while Xie Wen’s group survived the blast and Brook recovered from his injuries with milk. Xie Wen considered what to take from Moria before a call from a familiar Den Den Mushi gave him a new opportunity.

• Perona panicked as Klee Meow’s bomb exploded, but the blast only flung her unconscious because her ghost form protected her.
• The explosion swept Xie Wen, Meow Jūshirō, and the others away, though their Raid Suits and Xie Wen’s Armament Haki kept most of them safe.
• Ai Haibara Meow examined Brook’s broken bones, and Xie Wen healed his skull by giving him milk.

• Xie Wen learned that the World Government had approved his requested Devil Fruits but required him to collect them at Marineford.
• Xie Wen told Cody he had defeated Gecko Moria, and Cody agreed to add another Devil Fruit to the deal.

• Xie Wen traded with Moria for an Eternal Pose to Marineford, treasure, and Hogback's research materials, then left Thriller Bark with the cats.
• Brook thanked Xie Wen and the cats for recovering his shadow, but declined to join the Research Commission because he wanted to return to Laboon and remain a free pirate.

After learning that Meow Jinx was a capable but relatively well-behaved troublemaker, Xie Wen welcomed her to the crew and soothed her with chin scratches.

• Xie Wen watched a missile carrying a blue Palico approach the Toot Toot Forward and recognized her as Jinx.
• Meow Jinx leaped onto the deck as her missile exploded in the sea, then asked Xie Wen whether she would find life with him exciting.
• Xie Wen dried Meow Jinx's fur and learned that Granny Cat had barred her from hunting because she was too young.
• Meow Jinx explained that she had built the missile from collected materials and was fleeing Zaun Village when she answered Xie Wen's summons.
• Xie Wen promised Meow Jinx she would find plenty of fights and calmed her with chin scratches.

Xie Wen watched Klee Meow and Jinx Meow blast-fish until their explosions drew a Sea King to the ship. After Hua Mei Meow demonstrated her strength, Jinx Meow joined the Research Commission, though her troublesome antics soon continued.

• Klee Meow and Jinx Meow went blast-fishing together, and their explosions brought a Sea King to the surface.
• Jinx Meow attacked the Sea King with her Gatling gun, rocket launcher, and Chomper Grenade, but Xie Wen kicked it away from the Toot Toot Forward and helped stun it.
• Jinx Meow praised Xie Wen, who tried to explain that this world had unusual powers, but she admitted she had not listened.

• Xie Wen explained why he had stopped at Sabaody before the handover time and warned the cats to avoid Celestial Dragons, especially keeping an eye on Jinx Meow.

• A mob charged Xie Wen and the cats in the Lawless Zone, declaring their intention to claim Xie Wen's five-hundred-million-Beli bounty and capture the Mink Tribe.
• With Xie Wen's permission, Jinx Meow fired Pow-Pow's Gatling gun into the attackers, then used Fishbones to rocket-jump out of a Flying Slash.
• Jinx Meow dropped enhanced Chomper Grenades on the mob and finished off the remaining attackers with a rocket from Fishbones.
• Xie Wen praised Jinx Meow, who stopped laughing wildly and became affectionate as he rubbed her head.
