Xie Wen and Sanji Meow explored their island, gained Klee Meow as a companion, and sailed into the One Piece world. After learning more about the world’s timeline aboard Cody’s ship, they reached Paper Lantern Town, where gangs targeted the cats and Bax intervened.

• Xie Wen woke on an island with Sanji Meow, found his Hunter’s Pouch and trained with Fresh Knife: White Calm while they made camp in a cave.
• Xie Wen hunted the Forest Sheep King and two Bullfango Kings, unlocking monster guides and collecting a Palico Summoning Ticket fragment.
• Xie Wen and Sanji Meow explored the island, found the Flame-Flame Fruit, and summoned Klee Meow, who ate the fruit and gained its powers.
• Xie Wen trained and planned to form a Research Commission, then unlocked another summoning fragment after Klee Meow knocked out a Sea King.
• Xie Wen finished mapping the island, built a reinforced raft with Klee Meow and Sanji Meow, and set off to sea in the direction Klee chose.
• Xie Wen traded dried fish for a newspaper and learned that it was 1515 and that Whitebeard was still fighting the Beasts Pirates.

Xie Wen escorted Cody’s fleet to Gures, where he fought Capone Bege’s forces and left with a ship, a sword, and money. After Ottilia revealed her identity and Cody’s Cipher Pol connection, Xie Wen explored the Shatterbone Islands with the Palicoes and encountered the Head-Hunting Pirates.

• Klee Meow’s bombs devastated an alley in Paper Lantern Town, and Xie Wen accepted Cody’s offer to protect his fleet in exchange for compensation to the townspeople.
• Xie Wen sparred with Bax, learned his swordsmanship, and traveled with Cody’s fleet to Gures, where he and the cats clashed with the Capone Family.
• At the trade fair, the Buono Family’s plans sparked conflict between the families, and Sanji Meow defeated Vito while Xie Wen fought Capone Bege.
• Xie Wen nearly killed Bege before Cody stopped him, and Bege agreed to provide a ship, a Famous Sword, and fifty million Beli.
• Xie Wen and the cats chose a small vessel, named it Explorer One, and received Long Moon and the payment before leaving Gures.
• Klee Meow found Ottilia hiding aboard the ship, and Ottilia revealed that Cody was a Cipher Pol 4 agent and that she was Buono Ottilia, the Buono Family’s third daughter.
• The crew explored the Shatterbone Islands, gathered supplies, and spotted the Head-Hunting Pirates led by Condit the Head-Hunter.
• Klee Meow claimed the fight against the pirates and proposed using Whoosh-Whoosh Bombs to knock them unconscious, while Xie Wen warned her not to damage their ship or treasure.

Xie Wen and the cats trained with Chinjao in Flower Country, then Xie Wen began writing travel guides for Morgans in exchange for intelligence. After exploring West Blue and acquiring Kentaur, they crossed Reverse Mountain to Loguetown, where Xie Wen traded it for Yubashiri.

• Xie Wen spared Nico Robin from capture, helped her take the pirates’ treasure, and let her leave with bombs, food, and money after she explained her mission to decipher the Poneglyphs.
• Klee Meow revealed her Observation Haki, and she, Xie Wen, and Sanji Meow trained their perception while she tested bombs on an isolated reef.
• In Flower Country, Xie Wen sought Haki instruction from Chinjao, who trained him and the cats and tested Klee Meow’s bombs.
• Xie Wen and the cats fought Chinjao, then stayed in Flower Country for several days as Xie Wen sparred and improved his Haki before they sailed away.
• Morgans hired Xie Wen to write travel guides and exchanged information with him about Devil Fruits and famous swords.
• Xie Wen and the cats defeated the Suwak Pirates, and Xie Wen claimed their sword Kentaur and identified a treasure chest fruit as the Ox-Ox Fruit, Reindeer Form.

Xie Wen trained with Meow Jūshirō, visited Baratie, and defeated Arlong after rescuing Kesha Town. He reunited with Nami and Nojiko in Cocoyasi Village, summoned Hua Mei Meow, and settled the cats at Arlong Park.

• Xie Wen summoned Hiko Seijūrō, who introduced himself as Meow Jūshirō and began teaching Xie Wen the Flying Cat Hiten-Mitsurugi Style.
• Klee Meow destroyed pirate ships with her bombs, and Xie Wen and Meow Jūshirō collected bounties before training on a deserted island.
• Xie Wen and the cats found Baratie, where Sanji Meow beat Sanji in a cooking contest and then defeated him in a fight.
• Xie Wen borrowed Zeff’s charts, confirmed Cocoyasi Village’s location, and sailed away from Baratie with the cats.
