Xie Wen and the Palicoes defeated the Black Cat Pirates, visited several East Blue islands, and eventually met Garp, Luffy, and Ace. After Sanji Meow fought the boys, Xie Wen told Garp about Nezumi’s corruption and began negotiating a reward for helping train Ace and Luffy.

• Hua Mei Meow organized training for Xie Wen and the cats, while Xie Wen invited Cocoyasi Village and Kesha Town residents to practice combat and taught Nami some weapon techniques.
• Captain Nezumi came to Arlong Park seeking Arlong and his treasure, but Xie Wen claimed the spoils and warned Bont that another pirate crew could take Arlong’s place.
• Xie Wen and the cats defeated Kuro and the Black Cat Pirates, took their ship, and let Klee Meow name it Explosion Black Cat Maria before delivering the captured pirates to the 77th Branch.
• Xie Wen visited Mirapalle, where Klee Meow won a dance contest, the cats received new clothes, and Xie Wen commissioned a new Spark Knight and ship modifications.
• Xie Wen met Usopp in Syrup Village, showed him a wanted poster for his father Yasopp, and later discovered Gaimon on Rare Animal Island, where the Hunter’s Notes recorded the local creatures.
• Xie Wen and the cats traveled through Orange Town, Shells Town, and Foosha Village, where they met Bogard, Garp, and Luffy before Garp took them to Mount Colubo.
• At Dadan’s home, Xie Wen and Sanji Meow fought Ace and Luffy, and Sanji Meow defeated both before collapsing from exhaustion after Ace revealed his Conqueror’s Haki.
• Xie Wen told Garp about Nezumi’s collusion with Arlong, refused to join the Marines, and asked Garp for a Devil Fruit as they began negotiating over training Ace and Luffy.

Xie Wen trained Ace and Luffy, then traveled through Shimotsuki Village and the Calm Belt with his cats, gaining new companions and supplies. After buying Treasure Tree Adam and the Giraffe-Giraffe Fruit at auction, he defeated the pirates who pursued him and set sail for Water 7.

• Xie Wen fought Garp with Klee Meow and Meow Jūshirō, then accepted Garp’s offer of maps, Seastone, and a Log Pose after refusing to join the Marines.
• Xie Wen trained Ace and Luffy in Foosha Village, told them Sabo had survived, and left for Shimotsuki Village after about ten days.
• Xie Wen sparred with Koshiro and Zoro, while Meow Jūshirō defeated Zoro and later trained him, before leaving, Xie Wen gave Zoro two swords and received Koshiro’s swordsmanship booklet.
• Xie Wen and the cats defeated Krieg and his officers, then used a completed Summon Ticket to summon Ai Haibara Meow as a Healing-type Palico.
• The crew crossed the Calm Belt, followed Klee Meow’s lucky directions to Explosion Island, and arranged an Eternal Pose to St. Poplar Island through Morgans.
• In Spring Queen City, Xie Wen encountered Stussy, learned that the auction offered Treasure Tree Adam and Devil Fruits, and went alone to bid.
• Xie Wen bought Treasure Tree Adam for 230 million Beli and the Giraffe-Giraffe Fruit for 317.6 million Beli, then left the auction as pirates followed him.
• Klee Meow’s upgraded Whoosh-Whoosh Bombs incapacitated most of the pursuing pirates, and Xie Wen and the cats defeated the survivors before sailing toward Water 7.

Xie Wen and the cats refitted their ship at Water 7, crossed the Calm Belt after defeating the Kuja Pirates, and explored the South Blue with their new companion Link Meow. In Sorbet Kingdom, Ai Haibara Meow devised a treatment for Bonney while Kuma gathered equipment, and Bonney unexpectedly revealed her Age-Age Fruit ability.

• Xie Wen commissioned Iceburg to refit the Explosion Black Cat Maria at Water 7 and sailed away with the cats aboard the renamed Toot Toot Forward.
• Xie Wen and Meow Jūshirō defeated Boa Hancock and the Kuja Pirates during a Calm Belt crossing, then Xie Wen summoned Link Meow.
• Link Meow quickly mastered Armament Haki and Observation Haki, and the Toot Toot Forward reached the South Blue.
• Xie Wen resolved a misunderstanding with Lindbergh, who gave him a Vivre Card labeled Zou after the cats refused to leave without him.
• Link Meow defeated Kid, and Xie Wen spared Kid but killed Simmons to obtain a Tiger-type Cat-Cat Fruit.
• Ai Haibara Meow volunteered at a clinic in Sorbet Kingdom and examined Bonney after Kuma asked her to cure Azure Jade Scale Disease.
• Ai Haibara Meow proposed treatments for Bonney, Sanji Meow identified Potion as a safeguard, and Kuma and Morgans helped seek the necessary medical equipment.
• Bonney unconsciously transformed into a teenager, and Xie Wen recognized her Age-Age Fruit ability and encouraged her to develop it.

Xie Wen and the cats cured Bonney, continued their voyage through the North Blue, and opened a floating restaurant after pirates began avoiding them. Their travels brought them into conflict with Germa 66, and Xie Wen accepted Judge’s invitation to visit and learn about its technology.

• Xie Wen killed King Bekori after rescuing people from a fire, then revealed to Kuma that Bonney’s illness and ability might be connected to the Celestial Dragons.
• Xie Wen brought Kuma and Law to the Sorbet Kingdom, where Law and Ai Haibara Meow successfully operated on Bonney and cured her disease.
• Kuma stayed with Bonney, while Xie Wen and the cats resumed their voyage and continued exploring the South Blue and North Blue.
• Xie Wen and Klee Meow defeated pirates near Lighthouse Island and found a Paper-Paper Fruit that a pirate alliance later tried to steal.
• Hua Mei Meow led the cats against the alliance on Slakur Island, while Xie Wen killed Anol and the cats captured its leaders and defeated its officers.
• Kizaru and Sentomaru met the cats on Slakur Island, and the group shared a meal before the Marines departed.
• Xie Wen and the cats opened the Palico Seafaring Restaurant, which drew customers with Sanji Meow’s cooking and Klee Meow’s blast-fishing show.
• Sanji Meow defeated Yonji, Niji, and Ichiji after Germa 66 confronted the crew, and Xie Wen later wounded the brothers when they attacked him.
• Judge arrived with Clone Soldiers, invited Xie Wen and the Cat Restaurant to Germa’s castle, and Xie Wen accepted to learn about Germa 66’s technology.
