Watching from the sidelines was risky!

This state, which looked like a cross between a man and a dragon, was Kaido's dragon-human form.

Zoan users had three forms in total. The first was their human form. Eating a Zoan Devil Fruit gave their strength and physical abilities a modest boost, including recovery, stamina, speed, and so on-a comprehensive but basic improvement. The second was full beast transformation. This form had the greatest strength and granted the special abilities of the corresponding animal. The third was the beast-human form. This form greatly enhanced physical abilities and strength while retaining a largely human appearance, making it the best of the three for one-on-one combat.

In Kaido's dragon-human form, his defense, recovery, and strength all increased significantly. Not only that, but he was also incredibly fast in this form. Although Kaido was already fast normally, he fell somewhat short compared with certain top-tier fighters. Against someone like Kizaru, he could even end up being frustratingly kited around. Once he entered his dragon-human form, however, his speed became terrifying!

In this form, even if Kaido could not match a top-tier speed specialist like Kizaru, he was not much slower than Red-Haired. What was more, he now also possessed despair-inducing physical toughness and recovery so absurd it seemed like a bug! As for raw physical strength, Kaido was, of course, top-tier as well!

Of course, that did not mean Red-Haired was weaker than Kaido. Red-Haired was one of the Four Emperors, after all. His Conqueror's Haki was probably the best in the world, and he had also followed the path of a Swordsman, renowned for its offensive power. In terms of attack power alone, he was definitely much stronger than Kaido.

Still, to be honest, Su Yu thought this dragon-man appearance was a little ugly... ugly in a cute sort of way.

But Su Yu was probably the only one who would think that. Anyone else facing Kaido would either be too terrified to move or filled with vigilance and grim seriousness.

Kaido spat a mouthful of bloody saliva onto the ground and panted heavily. Although he looked uninjured, all his wounds were internal! His organs still ached faintly. While he had recovered through the power of devil fruit awakening, it had cost him a tremendous amount of stamina. Even a monster like Kaido, whose astonishing stamina let him fight for more than ten days straight, was starting to struggle.

But Kaido still did not want to give up. He could not accept this. This fight had been far too frustrating. From beginning to end, all he had done was get beaten, beaten, and beaten some more. He had not even touched a hair on Su Yu's head! The beating had already made Kaido question his entire existence!

So he had to land at least one punch on Su Yu!

Just then, Kaido noticed that Su Yu seemed a little distracted.

An opening! Kaido cried inwardly. Then he exploded into motion at his maximum speed, charging straight toward Su Yu, only to dart past him and get behind him.

Kaido coated his right hand with a massive amount of Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki. Black-and-red lightning appeared, and he hurled a clubless Thunder Bagua at Su Yu's head with all his might!

That enormous fist drew closer and closer to Su Yu's head. Just as Kaido thought the blow had landed, with a triumphant smile almost forming on his face, Su Yu raised his hand faster than the eye could see and caught the fist Kaido had been certain would hit.

The terrifying fist struck a palm that looked like a child's hand beside it, yet it was like a clay ox sinking into the sea. It caused not so much as a ripple. There was not even a sound. The scene was excruciatingly awkward.

Kaido gritted his teeth and pushed forward with all his strength, but that palm did not budge. It was like an insurmountable chasm. He could only pull his hand back and retreat for now.

But Kaido was not about to give up. He began moving around Su Yu at high speed, so fast that he vanished from the watching pirates' sight. Only Rayleigh and Kizaru could make out his movements through Observation Haki.

As he moved, Kaido kept swinging his fists at Su Yu from a distance, attacking him.

Kaido actually had another tremendously powerful move called Vajra Arrow. It worked by coating the Spiked Club with Haki and swinging it violently to release "club energy," much like a sword-energy slash. An arrowhead could also stand for the arrow itself, and Vajra Arrow was a long-range attack with immense offensive power.

Unfortunately, right at the start of the fight-or rather, the beating-Su Yu had crushed Kaido's beloved Spiked Club. So now Kaido could only use his fists to launch a simplified version of Vajra Arrow. Though it was less destructive than using the Spiked Club, it had the advantage of convenience.

Su Yu caught every single blast of fist energy that came at him without missing a one. He remained utterly casual throughout, making the whole thing look effortless!

But Kaido had expected that. He was only using this move to confuse Su Yu's vision and senses and create an opening for himself. By the end, he was barely bothering to aim, simply firing in Su Yu's general direction. One blast even flew straight past Su Yu's shoulder.

That blast did not go to waste, though. While it missed Su Yu, it hit one extremely lucky pirate spectator. The lucky fellow was sent flying several hundred meters, blood bursting from all over his body. His blood sprayed like water along his flight path, and he blissfully passed out before he even hit the ground. With that much blood loss, who knew whether he would survive...

The remaining pirates nearly pissed themselves in terror. They were already so far away, and there was still a fucking risk! Besides, seeing Su Yu catch Kaido's attacks so easily, without the slightest disturbance, they had assumed those attacks were not all that powerful. They had almost forgotten that Kaido was one of the Four Emperors too. Only now did they realize that even a "stray shot" from this far away could leave them half-dead. Unbelievable!

Sure enough, one of the Four Emperors was still one of the Four Emperors. Even if a god was beating him up, to them, he was a god too!

They gazed in awe at the two godlike fighters, then retreated much farther away. This time, they would need telescopes to see Su Yu.

Su Yu casually caught Kaido's attacks, utterly bored. He even yawned.

Now! Seeing Su Yu about to yawn, Kaido knew this was a rare opportunity. He charged straight up to Su Yu. This time, rather than attacking, he wrapped his arms around Su Yu's body, concentrated all his Haki in his arms, then tilted his head back and opened his enormous mouth. Energy gathered in his mouth in an instant, and he unleashed a blast of Dragon Breath!

At this distance, with me holding Su Yu in place, this attack is sure to hit!

What the fuck! Su Yu truly had not expected Kaido to use such a disgusting move. If this hits me, I'll never be clean again!
