Su Yu said, "By the way, how about I bring your parents back to life?"
Naruto said, "Huh? Really?! You don't mean that Rinne Rebirth technique from the Rinnegan, do you? They say the caster dies too!"
Su Yu rapped Naruto on the head, watched him hiss in pain, then said, "Would bringing someone back to life have to be that much trouble for me?"
Naruto grinned sheepishly. That was true. Su Yu could do anything.
Then he said excitedly, "Yes, please!"
Some things could only be understood once you had tasted them.
Before experiencing a mother's and father's love, Naruto had simply felt lonely.
But after meeting his parents, his longing for familial affection had reached its peak.
So when he heard that he could live with his parents from now on, he could not have been more excited.
The resurrection was simple. There was no holy light shining down, just a snap of the fingers.
It was as simple as a dream.
Naruto closed his eyes, opened them, and his parents were already standing before him.
"Dad! Mom!"
Naruto froze for a moment, then lunged forward and threw his arms around the still-bewildered Minato and Kushina.
A short while later, once Minato and his wife understood what had happened, they solemnly thanked Su Yu.
They owed him an enormous debt.
Not because they could live again, but because they had the chance to be there for Naruto.
Watching the overjoyed Naruto, Su Yu quietly faded away.
The moment Su Yu vanished, Naruto snapped out of his excitement.
Much of his joy at seeing his parents again faded.
"What's wrong, Naruto?"
Noticing the change in Naruto's mood, Kushina asked with some concern.
Naruto gazed at the spot where Su Yu had just stood and said glumly, "Su Yu left.
