"That's right."
Fors immediately asked in surprise, "What? You can switch Sequences? Didn't they say that once you take a potion of a particular pathway, you can never change it?"
Audrey understood now as well and explained with a smile, "Miss Magician, Mr. Fool told us about neighboring pathways before you joined the Tarot Club. Under normal circumstances, once you choose a pathway, you really can't change it-if you force a change, going half-mad is the best possible outcome."
"But there are exceptions. Among the twenty-two pathways, quite a few are what we call neighboring pathways. You can switch between these pathways at certain fixed Sequences. For example, at Sequence 4, the Demoness pathway allows you to switch to its adjacent pathway, Hunter, and change from female to male." Edward had told her about switching between Demoness and Hunter.
The Hanged Man caught on then and asked in surprise, "So does that mean the Hunter pathway also forcibly turns people male at a certain Sequence, just like the Demoness pathway?"
"That's right."
Fors asked curiously, "Then which pathways are neighboring pathways? For instance, which pathways can my Apprentice pathway switch to?"
Audrey shrugged. "I'm not too sure about that. Perhaps you could ask Mr. The Tower or Miss Strength. Of course, Mr. Fool definitely knows too."
Klein: No, right now I just want to get the information for free!
Fors immediately ducked her head. She hadn't forgotten the Tarot Club's rule: equivalent exchange.
She hurriedly said, "No need, no need."
Edward coughed. "All right, we're getting sidetracked. Mr. World, does your commission have something to do with Tracy? What did she do to offend you?"
Klein controlled the World and said, "...Heh, Tracy abducted those women."
His remark lacked any context, leaving the others confused, but Edward understood immediately. "Why?"
