Edward explained, "This is a new ability I've acquired. You can think of it as not being the real Mirror of Erised of the present, but the Mirror of Erised that exists in past spacetime."
"Existing in past... spacetime."
Dumbledore shook his head in wonder. "Oh, I think I understand how Muggles feel when they encounter magic."
Edward then turned to Audrey and said, "Audrey, once Lilith returns, I'll enter the Mirror of Erised. Don't leave Lilith's side while I'm gone."
Audrey nodded earnestly. "Understood."
"Edward."
Dumbledore said softly, "I remember that the last few times you returned, you treated this place as a temporary haven. But this time, you seem to be in quite a hurry. Is it because of that deity?"
"Not exactly..."
Edward gazed intently at the Mirror of Erised. "I'm just eager to unravel the secrets of God's Abode..."
Roar!!!
A deafening wave of cheers suddenly erupted from the stands. "Snape! Snape! Long live Professor Snape! Professor Snape is amazing!"
On the enormous screen in the air, eight images merged into one. Snape appeared on it, expressionless, his face enlarged enough to make every twitch of his eyebrows visible. The Chosen One, Harry, stood blankly in the shadow of his billowing black robes, looking just like a frog caught in a venomous snake's gaze.
"Uh, Professor, what's going on?"
Edward asked in surprise, "Isn't this the Triwizard Tournament? Why is Professor Snape..."
"Oh, I changed the rules of this tournament a little."
Stroking his beard, Dumbledore said, "Instead of students from the participating schools, the stars of this tournament are professors. Severus and Filius are representing Hogwarts."
Edward said in surprise, "Oh, well, I must say... that's a truly original and creative change."
Audrey asked curiously, "Then why is Harry there too?"
Dumbledore narrowed his eyes.
