"There is most likely a piece of Voldemort's soul inside Harry, but Harry is not Voldemort's Horcrux-that was an accident,
"an accident even Voldemort himself never anticipated. And it may be possible to remove that soul fragment of Voldemort's-much as I dislike Dementors, this time they really have helped me take a step forward in this research." This was the conclusion Dumbledore presented first, and what Brian found strange was that it had actually come from the Dementors still roaming Azkaban.
"Are you planning to have a Dementor suck the fragment of Voldemort out of Harry's head?" Brian almost blurted out.
Fortunately, his brain stopped his mouth in time, because it was a truly absurd idea. Granted, the subject of souls readily brought filthy creatures like Dementors to mind, but these creatures, which never tired of consuming all positive human emotions and memories-the very things essential to forming a soul-certainly would not observe table manners when dining.
Besides, however one looked at it, Voldemort's soul fragment could hardly be anything with a positive significance to its existence, not to mention that Dark Wizards had a certain special natural resistance to Dementors.
As Brian puzzled over this, he suddenly remembered how, on the day before the holidays began, Dumbledore had specifically borrowed Little Dragon, Little Tree, and the Stone Soldier to assist with his research. Dumbledore's precise explanation at the time had been, "To research the weaknesses of Dementors. Nicolas and I agree that creatures caught between life and death must have something in common." The three little fellows were still staying at Dumbledore's home.
Wait-caught between life and death! Brian quickly realized something. Voldemort's current condition seemed somewhat similar to that of the Dementors. The most obvious characteristic was that neither could be killed directly, though Voldemort owed this to
