Others might not have felt much during the upheaval at Kamar-Taj, but Kamar-Taj himself was horrified.
He had watched the space before him shatter with his own eyes.
If he had not used the Rings of Raggadorr, he might even have been caught in it.
Even now, sitting on the ground, Kamar-Taj was still shaken.
Then he heard the screams of Kamar-Taj's sorcerers nearby.
Quite a few people even said it was an earthquake.
Only ordinary sorcerers would believe that. Kamar-Taj's location was special.
Even the collapse of Mount Everest might not affect Kamar-Taj.
How could an earthquake possibly affect this place?
Besides, what he had just witnessed was clearly a battle between two Masters of the Mystic Arts.
It was the sign of the Mirror Dimension shattering.
Although he was not particularly powerful, he could still be certain of what he had just seen.
But aside from the Sorcerer Supreme, who else could shatter the Mirror Dimension?
That was impossible.
At least, none of the people he knew could do it.
More importantly, he had seen that the shattering of the Mirror Dimension had originated from where Wang Yang was staying.
He had come here because of Kaecilius's betrayal, hoping to offer Wang Yang some comfort.
Had Kaecilius come looking for him?
At that thought, Kamar-Taj hurried to his feet and headed toward Wang Yang's room.
Seeing Wang Yang's door tightly shut only made Kamar-Taj more worried.
Although Wang Yang's frightening talent left him feeling rather frustrated, he still did not want anything to happen to him.
Without a moment's hesitation, Kamar-Taj pushed the door open and rushed inside.
Then he saw Wang Yang resting with his eyes closed.
Wang Yang opened his eyes in surprise and saw the agitation on Kamar-Taj's face.
"Master Kamar-Taj, what brings you here?"
Wang Yang hurried to his feet to greet him.
Ignoring Wang Yang's courtesy, Kamar-Taj now had a terrifying idea.
Kaecilius had found Wang Yang, only to be driven off by him!
The thought was simply too terrifying. Even if Kaecilius was not Kamar-Taj's strongest sorcerer, he was still among its very best, while Wang Yang was merely an apprentice who had joined not long ago.
"Did Kaecilius come looking for you? Were you the one who shattered the Mirror Dimension?"
Hearing Kamar-Taj's agitated questions, Wang Yang did not know how to answer for a moment. He gave a dry cough, then said, "No, no. I don't know anything!"
Wang Yang continued earnestly, "I only felt a violent tremor shake all of Kamar-Taj!"
"Then why didn't you come outside?"
Kamar-Taj looked at him skeptically. He might not have been particularly powerful among the sorcerers, but he still had some powers of observation.
Although he did not know whether Kaecilius had come looking for Wang Yang, one thing was certain: Wang Yang had caused that disturbance.
And just how long had Wang Yang been training?
It was simply unbelievable, especially the possibility that Wang Yang had fought Kaecilius and even driven him off.
But seeing that Wang Yang did not want to talk about it, Kamar-Taj understood. Several of the senior Masters of the Mystic Arts already suspected that Wang Yang had something to do with Kaecilius's betrayal.
If this incident came to light, it would do Wang Yang no good at all and would only bring him trouble.
"Don't worry, Wang Yang. I won't tell anyone about this!"
"Rest assured. My lips are sealed!"
Kamar-Taj patted Wang Yang on the shoulder.
Wang Yang looked thoroughly troubled.
Kamar-Taj had actually discovered it. Wang Yang had pretended nothing had happened precisely because he thought this would bring him trouble, yet someone had still found out.
And that someone was Kamar-Taj's biggest gossip.
People might not have believed it otherwise, but if it came from Kamar-Taj's mouth, probably no one would doubt it.
He still needed to keep a low profile and learn more magic.
"Wang Yang, there's no need to be like this. If you have the ability, you should show it. At Kamar-Taj, the more talented you are, the more attention you'll receive!"
"You might even receive instruction from the Sorcerer Supreme!"
Seeing that Wang Yang was still worried, Kamar-Taj continued, "A genius should stand out a little!"
Although Wang Yang knew Kamar-Taj was right, he also understood that the tallest tree bore the brunt of the wind.
It was better to keep a low profile.
"Master Kamar-Taj, please don't tell anyone!"
Wang Yang made his request respectfully.
"All right, I'll keep your secret. You can rest easy!"
Despite Kamar-Taj's assurances, Wang Yang still did not think he was reliable.
But there was nothing he could do. He could hardly kill Kamar-Taj.
After giving it some thought, he let it go. After all, with someone as formidable as The Ancient One around, probably no one would dare cause trouble at Kamar-Taj.
Over the next few days, however, he heard no rumors about himself outside.
Had Kamar-Taj really not told anyone?
That was an astonishing surprise.
With that loose tongue of his, there were very few things he knew that ever stayed secret.
Anything he learned could spread throughout Kamar-Taj within a day.
After all, Kamar-Taj did not have much else to do.
Yet this time, Kamar-Taj had actually kept it to himself. He really was a good man with principles.
While Wang Yang was pondering this, someone knocked on his door.
Wang Yang opened it to find a sorcerer he had never seen before standing outside.
"You're Sorcerer Wang Yang, correct? Master Mordo requests your presence!"
"Oh? Thank you for letting me know!"
Wang Yang thanked him, feeling very surprised. Why would Mordo want to see him? Was it still about Kaecilius's betrayal?
Still, if he could learn some magic from Mordo, that would be excellent news for him.
After all, Mordo was The Ancient One's last personal disciple.
He was undoubtedly the person The Ancient One trusted most in Kamar-Taj.
His standing in Kamar-Taj was also exceptional.
Aside from The Ancient One, he was one of Kamar-Taj's best teachers.
Doctor Strange had been taught by Mordo.
With that thought, Wang Yang hurried out and headed toward the hall where Mordo was waiting.
Quite a few people were already in the hall.
Wong, Kamar-Taj, Hamir, and others were all there.
Mordo sat in the seat of honor.
After entering, Wang Yang bowed respectfully.
"May I ask why you have summoned me here, Masters?"
Only after bowing did Wang Yang voice his question.
"I heard you were a genius?"
At last, Mordo spoke slowly.
"You flatter me, Master Mordo. I only work a billionth harder than everyone else!"
