"Man!"
His elbow slammed into Harley Quinn's chest, carrying the Power of Lao Da.
"Shit!"
The tremendous force sent Harley staggering backward, stars dancing before her eyes.
"Sir, we may not have any quarrel, but you don't seem like a particularly good person."
Catwoman suddenly sprang into the air, her sharp claws whistling toward Lynn's face.
Bang!
Lynn raised his hand and blocked her claws.
"As if you're a good person, you jewel thief!"
Catwoman was as nimble as a cat. With her right claws blocked, she immediately thrust out her left hand, swiping at Lynn's crotch.
"Why do all of you keep aiming down there?!"
Lynn raised an eyebrow and lifted his leg to block Catwoman's other hand, pulling a necklace from his system inventory at the same time.
The dazzling glitter of its jewels immediately drew Catwoman's gaze.
"Go fetch your necklace!"
Lynn hurled it into the distance. The glittering necklace traced an arc through the air and flew away.
Catwoman immediately abandoned him and gave chase.
"And you, Bat-Faker."
Lynn discreetly returned the necklace to his system inventory, then turned toward the ultimate boss standing on the rooftop.
Bat-Faker?
Almost the instant Batman heard that nickname, he remembered the man who had called him.
Could this man claiming to be Tony Stark be the same person who called me that day and stole Joker's money?
"Robbing Joker, killing indiscriminately... You've committed so many crimes. What exactly are you trying to do?"
Batman's low, gravelly voice rang out again.
His eagle-sharp eyes locked onto Lynn below, and an oppressively dangerous aura radiated from him.
"And that riddle you told me that day... Then you dug up the Waynes' graves..."
Batman gritted his teeth, his expression darkening to the extreme.
"I'll catch you and bring you to court. The law will judge you!"
Lynn said indifferently, "That's fine. I'm an IRS agent. I'll just spend a little money and become a GCPD officer too."
Seeing his flippant, utterly unrepentant attitude, Batman clenched his fists.
"Gotham became what it is because of parasites like you."
"You've committed countless crimes in just a few months and killed at least a hundred people... You're a monster!"
Lynn scoffed as though he had heard a joke.
"Batman, I know far better than you do. Those people were either criminals or gang members. Not one of them was clean."
"I killed criminals. I robbed criminals. In a way, I'm the real superhero!"
As he spoke, a confident smile spread across Lynn's face.
"And you... Bruce Wayne, you're just a psychopath!"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Batman furrowed his brow, maintaining a calm facade. "I am vengeance. I..."
Lynn cut him off.
"Drop the act, Bruce Wayne. I know it's you!"
"I really don't get it. By day, you're a playboy with a woman on each arm. By night, you chase lunatics and beat up idiots... Tsk, tsk. Is this what rich people are into? You really get wild."
Batman: "..."
What does he mean, chasing lunatics and beating up idiots?
I'm fighting crime! How did this guy twist that into getting wild?
And why does he know my real identity?
He had concealed it so well, and he had never seen this man in Gotham before.
"Come to think of it, how did you convince Robin to put on green shorts and do this with you?"
Lynn looked at Batman's dark expression and chuckled.
"I never would've guessed you had such unusual tastes."
Batman: "What can I say?"
Robin's suit was designed that way for ease of movement! How did you make it sound so wrong?
"But seriously, if you gave me Wayne Enterprises, I could make Gotham a better place." Lynn rubbed his chin and nodded.
"You're dreaming."
Batman's voice was ice-cold. Wayne Enterprises had fallen under criminals' control several times before.
Those criminals had always sought either personal gain or control over all of Gotham.
How could he possibly hand Wayne Enterprises over to vicious criminals like them?
"Once I put you in prison, you'll learn how to repent!"
Almost instantly, Batman lunged down like a savage bat.
But Lynn was already prepared.
"Man!"
The phantom of a Black man roared and drove a vicious elbow strike toward Batman.
Batman raised his hand to block the elbow, then clenched his fist and swung at the man before him.
However, a red-and-gold metal arm firmly blocked Batman's punch.
A brilliant light erupted from the arm's palm, and an energy blast struck Batman square in the face.
Boom!!
Batman was blasted backward and slammed into a wall, sending rubble flying.
He shook his dizzy head, pushed himself upright with both hands, and looked toward the man from a moment ago.
A suit of red-and-gold metal armor stood before him, its lights glowing coldly.
"You're really Iron Man?" Batman froze.
He remembered the comic he had read and found the whole thing utterly absurd.
Could Marvel's comics all be real?
Does Iron Man really exist in this world?
"I told you, I'm Tony Stark from the Bat Gang. Why won't you believe me?"
Lynn glanced at the Iron Man Armor's durability on his system panel.
Fortunately, that blast hadn't reduced its durability. Otherwise, he would have been miserable.
But seriously, is Batman really just an ordinary man?
How is he completely fine after taking that blast?
"Tsk. I'm done fighting. Fighting you doesn't give me any rewards, not even a boss quest. All it does is risk wasting my items."
Lynn raised his head and looked at Bat-
man before him, then said:
"Stop chasing me too. You can't catch me, and you can't beat me. Besides, you lock those criminals up in prison and Arkham Asylum, but what happens when they escape and commit crimes again?"
"Then I'll catch them again. The law will judge them!" Batman answered firmly, without the slightest hesitation.
"But have you ever thought about what happens to the people they hurt when they escape and keep committing crimes?" Lynn countered.
As though something had occurred to him, he continued:
"And what about the people struggling to survive, the ones with nowhere to turn but crime? Have you ever thought about why they do it?"
Batman froze at those words. He kept turning the question over in his mind, but no answer came.
"Let me put it this way. Those people who turn to crime out of desperation end up on that path because Gotham is such a terrible place to live."
As Lynn spoke, blue flames shot from beneath his feet, slowly lifting him into the air.
"And when you lock those criminals up, you're effectively giving them protection."
"Once they escape, they'll keep committing crimes and killing people. Everyone they kill dies because of you."
Batman's heart jolted at those words.
The man before him not only treated human lives like dirt, but openly defied the law.
Yet what he had just said seemed... not entirely without reason.
"That's just your opinion," he retorted.
Bathed in the hazy morning light, Lynn quickly ascended, his figure disappearing amid the city's neon glow.
"It's a fact, Bat-Faker. Those people could have lived, but they'll die because of you."
"That makes you Gotham's greatest criminal!"
Batman fell silent, unsure how to refute those words.
In the faint light of dawn, he stood motionless on the deathly silent street like a gargoyle statue, gradually swallowed by the city's clamor.
