Over the next few days, Lynn and Rachel kept clearing demons out of major locations throughout Gotham City.

They killed hundreds of demons, yet still found no trace of Belur.

At last, only one location remained to be cleared-Manor No. 1247 on Enshitelong Street.

(Please remember Jie Shuhuang, a super-reliable website for the fastest chapter updates.)

Perhaps that was Belur's lair.

In the thick darkness of night, the flames of an explosion glittered like fireworks, lighting up almost half the street.

BOOOOM!!

A rumbling explosion suddenly rang out.

"What was that?"

Lynn turned toward the explosion and saw two men charging toward them in a panic through the rows of neon signs.

Rachel also looked toward the sound. One of the men looked somewhat weathered, his black suit immaculate but his expression haggard.

The other wore a beige suit, his blond hair flying wildly, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

Almost the instant Rachel saw that man, her expression turned strange, and she kept stealing sidelong glances at Lynn.

Now the fake Constantine had run into the real Constantine.

"Didn't you say everything would be fine? Why did my taxi blow up?!"

Chas ran for his life, panting as he demanded an answer from his old friend beside him.

"Who could've known those bloody demons would just blow up our car?"

Constantine looked utterly miserable. This was the first time demons had gotten the better of him this badly.

"I keep feeling that bloody demon is an old enemy I've run into before. It's a gut feeling!"

"Then hurry up and think of something! I don't want to get eaten by these demons before we can save Trish." Chas glanced behind him as he ran.

On the street lit by flickering neon, hundreds of hideous Lesser Demons, their bodies covered in barbs and their eyes blazing with bloodthirsty crimson light, charged madly after them on all fours.

The roars and howls pouring from their mouths sounded even more savage than rabid dogs.

"Damn it..."

Seeing hundreds of Lesser Demons in hot pursuit, Constantine's expression darkened, and he reached into his coat with his right hand.

"Looks like I'll have to use my tools!"

He had barely finished speaking when a figure suddenly shot past him and Chas, charging straight into the hundreds of Lesser Demons.

Constantine's expression changed dramatically.

"Run! Those are all..."

Before he could finish, the man in iron armor and a Bear Head Mask raised his elbow and viciously elbowed an oncoming Lesser Demon away.

Then the phantom of a tall, muscular Black man appeared behind him. It also raised its elbow and slammed it down at the Lesser Demons as a thunderous roar rang out.

"Man!"

Constantine froze, staring in utter disbelief at the man who had charged into the Lesser Demons.

The man held a sword in his right hand, hacking at the demons' five appendages with its blade burning with golden holy flames even as he kept throwing elbow strikes.

At some point, a basketball had materialized in his left hand. Every time he bounced it, he leaned to the left and sent a Lesser Demon flying with a vicious body check.

Behind him, beside the Black man's phantom, another phantom-a man wearing overalls-kept executing Iron Mountain Lean.

Chas, who had also witnessed the scene, stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

"What the fuck! How can someone this godlike even exist?"

With every rise and fall of Lynn's sword, several Lesser Demons were chopped into pieces, leaving only their torsos falling to the ground to be roasted by the golden holy flames.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Cold light flashed, and three Lesser Demons were instantly shaved down into Demon Clubs.

Constantine watched, his face filled with shock and astonishment.

"What a fast sword. His blade... seems to carry a trace of Heaven's power."

"Of course. This is an angel's sword," Lynn replied.

"Then you must be an angel?"

Chas, standing nearby, chimed in, but then scratched his head and asked in confusion:

"But what angel has the phantom of a Black man and a guy in overalls behind him?"

"No idea." Constantine shook his head, his eyes fixed on the Flameflow Blade in Lynn's hand.

He could sense that the sword held sacred power beyond his imagination. If he could con that sword out of him...

Ahem. How could an Exorcist's business possibly be called a con?

Lynn knew nothing of Constantine's thoughts. He was thoroughly caught up in the thrill of battle.

Two Lesser Demons suddenly lunged at him from behind, their faces savage.

But Boss's martial soul raised its elbow and, with an angry roar, slammed it down.

"Man!"

Bones shattered, and blood splattered everywhere.

The scent of blood stirred the Lesser Demons' ferocity. Almost instantly, demons lunged at him from every direction.

Chicken Bro's Martial Soul kept executing Iron Mountain Lean, sending the Lesser Demons flying while mysterious music played, leaving them dizzy and disoriented.

"You walking toward me gets me so restless..."

The music was so catchy that even Lynn, still swinging his sword and throwing elbows, couldn't help humming along.

And so, wielding the Flameflow Blade, he slaughtered his way from the south end of the street to the north without so much as blinking.

With a swing of his sword, a Lesser Demon's lower half was severed, accompanied by a piercing scream.

Soon, the entire street was littered with demons' severed limbs, thick foul blood, and... Lesser Demons whittled down into Demon Clubs.

Gulp!

Constantine couldn't help swallowing at the sight.

This guy charged up to the Lesser Demons, but instead of stabbing them through the heart, he first chopped off their lower halves, then severed all four limbs.

Since when had Heaven acquired such a vicious ball-chopping angel?

If he conned that sword out of him, would his own little fellow survive?

Just then, a blue system quest notification appeared before Lynn's eyes again.

[Main quest "Demon City" completed.] [Rating: S] [Rewards received: EXP +30, Gotham Reputation + 30, Character Card: Dio Brando (from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), U.S. Dollars 100,000]

Seeing the name on the Character Card, Lynn's furrowed brows slowly relaxed, and delighted surprise spread across his face.

Time stop and a vampire... damn, I really hit the jackpot with this reward, he thought.

On the neon-lit street, Lynn put away the Flameflow Blade and said to Raven:

"Put them all away."

Rachel Ross stepped forward, her beautiful eyes studying the Lesser Demons strewn across the ground.

Quite a few of these Lesser Demons had been burned to death by the golden holy flames.

Even so, a staggering eighty-plus Demon Clubs had survived.

Rachel lifted her gaze, a trace of crimson gathering in her eyes once more. At the same time, the ruby on her forehead suddenly shone with a warm light.

The red light illuminated these Demon Clubs, transporting them straight into Dimensional Space.

After seeing Rachel put away the Lesser Demons, Lynn walked over to Constantine and Chas, reassured.

"Why were those Lesser Demons chasing you?"

Constantine took a deep breath and explained the truth with a grave expression:

"I'm an Exorcist, and this is my friend Chas.

His daughter's soul is being held captive by a Greater Demon named Belur. The two of us came to Gotham to find him."

Lynn nodded at that.

Belur again. This Greater Demon has been pretty brazen lately, picking fights with so many people on the Gotham map. Could he be another boss?
