The thick smell of blood spread through the air like flowing water, then darted into the demons' nostrils like a mischievous child.

The pungent scent instantly roused their savagery, making the points on their heads do their thinking for them and driving them to keep charging forward.

Lynn grabbed the Demon Clubs whose health had dropped to 20% and devoured them with Feast.

[Feast stacks: 14] [Cooldown: 2 hours (You have consumed too many supernatural creatures and need time to digest them. Continuing to consume them risks making your body explode.)]

The moment he swallowed the demons, Lynn felt as though his body was undergoing some kind of evolution.

His muscles grew, his bones strengthened, and his head grew pointier.

His strength, agility, and speed of thought all began to rise dramatically.

"Ahh... I can feel the wisdom..." Lynn wore a look of sheer bliss. "My world-shaking wisdom!"

"Die, you damned human!!"

The Bat Demon hiding at the very back chanted an incantation. A fiercely burning ball of scarlet demonic flame erupted from his hideous black claws, and he hurled it straight at Lynn.

But a second later-

Lynn merely waved a hand and swatted the black flames into a corner.

The Bat Demon: "..."

Was this guy... really just a human?

His demonic flames were hellfire summoned from hell through black magic.

If an ordinary person-or even an exorcist-so much as touched them, their soul would instantly burn to ashes.

Yet the guy before him had just casually swatted his hellfire away.

Was he really not a demon wearing human skin?

"Fighting feels awesome!"

A vicious grin spread across Lynn's face. Tightening his grip on the Flameflow Blade, he charged at the remaining demons.

At the sight of this gleeful human, the remaining demons' scalps prickled and their expressions changed drastically. They immediately turned and fled.

"Fuck! Holy shit! Stay the fuck away from us!!"

Whoosh!!

They had barely fled a few yards when a piercing shriek rang out.

Then a sword aura formed of golden Holy Flame tore through the air and struck them.

Squelch!!

Arms and thighs were severed together, and foul-smelling black blood splattered across the ground.

[You have slain enough evil creatures for the Flameflow Blade to officially begin its ascent along the path to godhood. At its current stage, it can unleash Sacred Flame Sword Aura.] [Note: The sharpness of countless blades and the fury of towering flames surge within my heart.]

Lynn strode forward, pointing his sword at the trembling demons on the ground, their bodies wreathed in golden Holy Flame.

Too bad Feast is still on cooldown. Otherwise, I could really pig out right now, he thought.

Although several demons before him had less than 20% health remaining, his Feast was still on cooldown.

After turning it over in his mind, Lynn came up with a good idea: take the demons with him and wait for Feast's cooldown to end.

With that thought, he immediately grabbed a demon and tried to put him into the System Inventory.

[This item cannot be placed in the System Inventory.]

Tch, why can't the System Inventory hold these demons? They're loot I earned fair and square, Lynn grumbled inwardly.

[You can later purchase the ability to store living creatures in your inventory from the System Shop.]

The System Shop... Too bad I'm still several levels short. Lynn mentally shook his head.

The System Shop only unlocked at level 10, and he still had several levels to go. Still, this made him even more curious about what it sold.

Just then, Lynn caught sight of the blue-haired girl beside him out of the corner of his eye.

She's a mage, so she should know Dimensional Space Magic, right?

With that thought, he walked briskly over and asked:

"Can you use Alternate-Dimension Magic to store these demons?"

A trace of confusion flashed through Raven's azure eyes at his question, and she asked:

"I can, but are you going to use them to craft magic items? Brew some kind of potion, perhaps, or perform a ritual?"

Lynn shook his head. "No, I'm saving these demons to eat."

Raven: "..."

This was the first time she had met an exorcist who ate demons.

Raven raised her delicate brows slightly and asked curiously, "Are you the exorcist here?"

Lynn nodded.

"That's right. I'm the exorcist here. You can call me... John Constantine."

When you were out in the world, your identity was whatever you made it. If he said he was Constantine, nobody was arguing.

"Constantine?"

At that, Raven's expression immediately turned somewhat strange.

Her azure eyes swept over Lynn, then the pile of Demon Clubs behind him. Thinking of Boss and Brother Ji, she found the whole thing utterly absurd.

Since when did Constantine have freakish things like these?

"Just tell me whether you can help me take these demons away with Alternate-Dimension Magic."

Lynn spoke again. He was ready to head to the next location and get more demons to boost his attributes.

"I can carry them for you, but aren't we headed to different places?"

Raven responded with a slight frown.

"I'm looking for a demon named Belur."

She had come to the human world from the Spirit World because she had heard that a Greater Demon was planning to establish a Hell Branch in Gotham, which might cause Trigon to awaken.

So, in the spirit of loving fathers and dutiful daughters, she had made a special trip to Earth to stop it and keep her dad firmly locked inside the Sealing Crystal.

"What a coincidence. I'm looking for a demon named Belur too," Lynn said, somewhat surprised.

Raven asked curiously, "Then do you know where he is?"

"I don't." Lynn shook his head. "But Batman does. He gave me several locations. One of them might be Belur's lair."

Raven nodded, then turned to look at the demons lying on the ground, still burning in the golden Holy Flame.

"Rachel Ross," she said, suddenly introducing herself.

Then Lynn saw her azure eyes gradually turn scarlet, while the ruby on her forehead began to shine brilliantly.

"Ah, no wonder so many people like the Sharingan."

Lynn raised his hand and rubbed

his chin. He wanted red eyes too, or some other special contact lenses. A tattoo with special powers would also do. He wasn't picky.

Rachel banished the demons into her dimensional space, then raised her head to look at Lynn.

He was staring intently at the gem on her forehead, his face full of curiosity.

"Is that the magic item you use to cast Alternate-Dimension Magic?" Lynn asked.

Rachel nodded.

"That's right. My ability to use Alternate-Dimension Magic has a great deal to do with this gem."

But it mostly has to do with my bloodline.

That part, she did not tell Lynn.

After hearing Rachel's explanation, Lynn kept studying the gem on her forehead, a gleam flashing through his eyes.

If I just took the gem off Rachel and used an Amnesia Potion on her, could I keep it for myself?

"But this gem also seals my bloodline and a Hell Lord-level demon," Rachel added.

Lynn's eyes immediately lit up.

"That good? An item and a boss guarding it?"

Rachel: ???

Was there something wrong with this guy's brain?

The gem sealed not only her demon bloodline, but also her father, Trigon.

If the gem were damaged, Trigon would break the seal and reappear in the human world. Even she would fall into corruption because of her demon bloodline.

[Would you like to invite Raven, Rachel Ross, to join your party?]

Lynn frowned.

If I make her my teammate, won't that mean I can't screw her over so openly?

[Completing missions in a party grants greater rewards.]

Lynn put away the Flameflow Blade and asked:

"Since we're both looking for that demon called Belur, why don't we team up, wipe out those demons, and then go find him?"

Rachel considered it for a moment, then nodded.

"All right. Since we have the same goal, let's team up for now to eliminate those demons and stop Trigon from returning."

[NPC Rachel Ross has joined your party.]
