Manor No. 1247, Enshitelong Street.
It was a sprawling manor on the outskirts of Gotham. Like most buildings in Gotham, it was Gothic in style, with a gloomy, oppressive atmosphere.
If the address plate hadn't read "1247 Enshitelong Street," Lynn would have thought this was Wayne Manor.
Bang, bang!!
Constantine knocked on the wooden door, the dull sound breaking the silence of the long night.
A moment later, the door swung open, and a fat figure appeared before them.
The figure wore an immaculate black suit with a bright red boutonniere pinned to his chest. He looked quite respectable.
Except his neck supported a hideous, terrifying pig's head.
Clearly, this was a demon-a Pig Head Demon.
"John Constantine, you came after all."
The Pig Head Demon flashed a cunning smile when he saw Constantine.
Lord Belur was right. These humans had something to lose, so they were bound to come.
But the very next moment, his smile froze.
Because-
"What are you babbling about?"
Lynn raised his elbow and lunged forward, his muscles unleashing their strength as a roaring Boss Martial Soul manifested behind him.
"Eat my elbow!"
Bang!!
A dull impact rang out.
Then his pointed elbow, carrying tremendous force, slammed viciously into the Pig Head Demon's face.
Black, filthy blood sprayed out and dripped onto the floor, giving off a thick stench.
"Fuck..."
Caught off guard, the Pig Head Demon saw that the man elbowing him was clad in Iron Armor and wearing a Bear Head Mask.
He immediately cursed and prepared to strike back.
"Damn mortal! You dare attack me? I'll show you the power of a demon!"
Swish! Swish! Swish!!
Before he could finish, a cold gleam flashed. A longsword blazing with golden holy flame sliced off the Pig Head Demon's remaining limbs in an instant.
"Aaarghhh!!!"
With his most sensitive appendage severed, the color visibly drained from the Pig Head Demon's hideous face, and he let out an agonized scream.
He tried to cover his crotch, only to discover helplessly that his arms had been cut off. Worse, flames imbued with sacred power kept burning at both stumps.
That wasn't even the worst part.
The worst part was that golden holy flame was burning at the severed stump between his legs, too.
Roasting a demon's dick, huh?
So demons weren't people? They had no human rights?
Watching Lynn slice off all five of the Pig Head Demon's limbs as easily as chopping vegetables, Raven couldn't help twitching at the corners of her mouth.
Still, she immediately stepped forward. Her azure eyes turned scarlet, and the gem on her forehead shone red as she transferred the Pig Head Demon directly into a dimensional space.
Lynn practically drooled as he watched Raven cast Alternate-Dimension Magic.
Raven... no, that space-transfer magic was so damn tempting.
Seeing his expression, Constantine stepped up beside Lynn and teased him quietly.
"Buddy, if you like her, go tell her. Maybe she likes you too?"
Lynn shook his head. "I only like her magic, not her.
"It's like killing demons. I just enjoy killing demons. I don't actually like demons."
Constantine: "..."
If you didn't like demons, why did you react to seeing one like a pervert spotting a beautiful woman?
Were you some kind of sicko?
After dealing with the Pig Head Demon, they filed into the manor and entered the main hall.
In the dim living room, only the nearby fireplace burned freely, crackling as the wood turned to charcoal.
The faint firelight illuminated a corner of the wall, where several gloomy oil paintings hung.
One painting depicted countless pale bones piled into a mountain. Terrified men and women ran while glancing back out of the corners of their eyes, as though some ferocious beast were chasing them.
"That demon called Belur isn't here?" Raven looked around warily.
Bang!!
Lynn walked over to the doors along one side of the living room, kicked one open, and strode straight inside.
At the sight, Constantine's scalp prickled, and he hurried after him.
Constantine had survived all these years by relying on just three things-caution, deception, and screwing other people over.
He hadn't expected this guy impersonating him to be so reckless. Could he resurrect himself anytime, anywhere?
Lynn's answer to that was: Sorry, but I still have a Resurrection Card. I really can resurrect myself anytime, anywhere.
Constantine came up behind Lynn and cautioned him, "We need to be careful. That's an incredibly cunning demon. What if he's set up some black magic ritual here..."
His words cut off abruptly, because he saw a scene of unspeakable horror-
The room was cramped and narrow, its dim light tinged with blood-red. In that hazy scarlet glow, countless pale skulls were piled together like a small mountain before them.
To the left of the mountain of bones lay one rotting corpse after another, pale and bloodless, with no bones left to support them.
A thick, rusty smell of blood mingled with the foul stench of decay, filling the air.
"Urgh!"
The instant Constantine saw it, he instinctively gagged. He hurriedly covered his mouth with his right hand, horror filling his heart.
Such a horrific sight... just how many people had Belur killed in Gotham?
"I actually rather like this place. That Pig Head Demon butler was one of my favorite demons, too."
A man's low voice suddenly sounded from inside the room.
Lynn turned toward the voice and saw a demon over three meters tall walk in wearing black pajamas. He was fat and bulky, almost like Bojack.
"You're Belur?" Lynn raised an eyebrow.
The demon had a reversed letter Z on his forehead. With his bloated face and dark green skin, he looked like a toad.
"Yes."
He gave a
nod, swirled the wineglass in his hand, and grinned.
"I want to turn this place into a Pool of Flesh. Once all the corpses have dissolved into bloody liquid, I'll fish out the bones and swim in it..."
Constantine stared fixedly at the Greater Demon before him, his expression grave.
"What exactly did you bring me here for?"
"What a tasteless fellow." Belur curled his lip, looking thoroughly bored.
His gaze shifted to the three people behind Constantine, and his lips spread into a sinister grin.
"Constantine, I recall inviting only you. Who are these three?"
"Oh, they're all..."
Constantine was just about to introduce Raven and the others when Lynn interrupted him.
"We're the Handsome Fucking People trio," Lynn introduced them. "I'm Handsome, and she's People."
Raven paused, but remembering Lynn's ridiculous words and behavior, she said nothing.
Chas, however, was completely baffled.
We're the Handsome Fucking People trio, you're Handsome, and Rachel's People...
Then what does that make me?
Belur burst into hearty laughter at Lynn's words.
"Hahaha! Constantine, I never knew you had such an entertaining friend."
Lynn nodded, thoroughly approving of his agreement.
"Right? Gold shines wherever it goes."
The corner of Constantine's mouth twitched. He turned his gaze back to Belur and asked in a low voice,
"Where have you imprisoned Trish's soul?"
"Heh heh. Don't be impatient, Constantine."
Belur slurped, his eyes fixed on Lynn as greed spread across his face.
"What an interesting soul. This is the first time a human soul has ever tempted me."
"Really? A Greater Demon like you is pretty tempting to me, too."
As Lynn spoke, he slowly raised the Flameflow Blade in his hand. With a casual swing, golden holy flame rippled along its edge.
Belur froze at the sight, then gave a disdainful smile.
"Don't tell me you intend to kill a Greater Demon like me with that sword?"
Taking advantage of his lack of caution, Lynn instantly unleashed Sacred Flame Sword Aura.
"What are you babbling about? Eat my sword!"
The Sacred Flame Sword Aura tore through the air and slashed viciously toward Belur's crotch.
Belur: "..."
It was just a little taunt. Did you really have to end my bloodline over it?
