Aboard the airship, in the corridor.
Joker swung his arm around, immediately aiming his gun at Lynn, who sat in a chair cracking sunflower seeds.
He recognized Lynn's obnoxious face at a glance, along with that bizarre outfit.
"It's you." Joker frowned. "You stole my money a few months ago, and now you're stealing my girl?"
"Fuck! I'm not your fucking girl!"
Cursing, Harley pulled out her own pistol and moved to aim it at Joker and pull the trigger.
However, the Joker Gang members behind him pulled back their coverings, revealing one heavy machine gun after another, all aimed at the three Bat Gang members ahead.
Harley: "..."
She quietly put away her pistol and plastered a fake smile on her face.
"Mr. Joker..."
"Fuck off!"
Joker snapped at her.
"All I did was get locked up in Arkham Asylum, and you went and found yourself a new boyfriend."
No wonder he'd felt like he was being cuckolded. Harley Quinn had never been faithful in the first place.
Joker narrowed his eyes, staring intently at the man ahead, whose expression remained calm, and advanced one step at a time.
As he approached, Lynn stood up as well and walked over to face him.
"Heh... this again." Joker sneered. "Instead of running away, you're coming closer?"
"What tricks do you have this time?"
The cold muzzle of the pistol pressed against Lynn's forehead. All Joker had to do was pull the trigger, and the bullet would mercilessly take his life.
"Care to make a bet?" Lynn raised an eyebrow.
Joker grinned. "On what?"
Lynn raised his head, his face brimming with confidence. "I bet your gun... has no bullets."
[Yan Shuangying Character Card: Exceptional marksmanship. Saying "I bet your gun has no bullets" can greatly increase an enemy's psychological burden, making them afraid to shoot you.]
"This gun has bullets!"
Joker tightened his grip on the gun. He'd checked it himself and confirmed that there were plenty of rounds in the magazine.
"Not anymore."
Lynn remained calm, without the slightest trace of fear.
"You can try firing. If the gun doesn't go off, I'll instantly kick your balls to pieces, then punch you in the throat and kill you."
Seeing Lynn's absolute confidence, everyone present wondered the same thing-did Joker's gun actually have any bullets?
Harley laughed manically. "Joker! Riddler and Batman both lost to him. You've got even less chance of winning! Go on, shoot! That gun definitely has no bullets!"
She didn't know whether Joker's gun had bullets, but she trusted Lynn.
Catwoman held her breath, staring at the pale-faced Joker in his purple suit.
His arm trembled slightly, as though he were under immense psychological pressure.
Could Lynn be right? Did Joker's gun really have no bullets?
Beside them, Poison Ivy also watched the two men facing off, especially the supremely confident Lynn.
For some reason, despite her intense hatred of men, she didn't sense that repulsive aura from Lynn.
Lynn still looked completely confident, as though he truly knew for certain that Joker's gun had no bullets.
"I'll count to three. If you haven't pulled the trigger by then, it'll be my turn to fight back."
Joker fell silent for a moment, his gaze settling on the gun in his hand.
Could it be... that my gun really has no bullets?
But I checked it myself. There should be bullets.
Wait... what if this guy's right and there really aren't any? Wouldn't I be screwed?
Just as Joker hesitated.
"Three!"
Joker: ???
"Wait! Didn't you say you'd count to three?"
"I never said I'd start at one."
Joker fell silent for a moment, stepped back, and withdrew his hand.
"Wait, stop counting! I know there are bullets!"
He raised the pistol, aimed at the ceiling, and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The gun went off.
"See? There are bullets, right?"
At that, Joker smiled, his face full of smug pride.
"What the hell are you babbling about? Eat my elbow!"
Lynn stepped forward and slammed his elbow into Joker's face.
"Man!"
The tremendous force sent Joker staggering backward several steps, broken teeth and blood flying everywhere.
"Boss!"
Seeing Lynn elbow Joker, the Joker Gang members immediately raised their machine guns and opened fire.
But the other three members of the Bat Gang weren't decorative extras standing around watching.
"Hahaha! That's it! Let's raise hell!!"
Like a lit firecracker, Harley lunged at the nearest Joker Gang member, laughing wildly as she swung the adamantium Hand Bone.
Bang!!
The hard Hand Bone slammed into the back of his head.
The tough guy didn't even cry out in pain before collapsing stiffly to the floor. What a tough guy indeed.
The heavy machine gun in his hands also hit the floor with a clang and rolled several times.
"Shit! I've been wanting to discipline you on your mothers' behalf for ages!"
Harley's twin ponytails swung as she whipped the Hand Bone through the air, targeting the men's vital spots.
She couldn't understand how Joker had so many henchmen right after escaping from Arkham Asylum, while recruiting followers on her own was so difficult.
Was I, Harley Quinn, really worse than Joker?!
Fuck that. I don't believe it for a second.
So what if people keep putting me down?
So what if nobody acknowledges me?
I don't need your approval. I just need to prove I'm stronger than you-stronger than every last one of you!!
"Shit! Fuck Joker, and fuck Batman! I, Harley Quinn, am the queen of Gotham!"
Harley roared, bringing the adamantium Hand Bone down toward the crotch of the man in front of her.
But-
A machine gun aimed at her forehead, and the threat of death washed over her in an instant.
Harley shrank back. "...Um... can we make peace?"
The burly man grinned viciously.
"Har-
ley Quinn, what do you think?"
Slash!!
A cold gleam flashed, and the machine gun was instantly sliced in two.
"Harley, don't forget. You've still got us."
Catwoman's voice was icy. Her body was as supple as a cat's as she dodged the incoming bullets, then abruptly tore through the burly man's neck with her claws.
A cry of pain rang out amid the spurt of blood, and the gun clattered to the floor.
Then she suddenly flipped and kicked another man in the knee.
As he staggered, she slammed her elbow into his temple, her movements crisp and clean, without a moment's hesitation.
"Don't let them shoot!"
Poison Ivy barked, and vines instantly covered the metal pipes.
Thick green vines wrapped around a Black man's neck and twisted it through a full turn.
Then the vines hurled him at the cluster of Joker Gang members ahead.
Countless bullets struck the Black man's corpse, riddling it with holes.
But behind that bullet-riddled shield, Catwoman and Harley used Poison Ivy's vines to charge swiftly forward.
The vines blocked the bullets, Harley struck head-on, and Catwoman finished them off. The three women worked together with surprisingly seamless coordination.
