Dio used mist and his Ripple to evade Carl’s Bullet Holes while protecting Mumuzawa, then killed Carl with a concealed counterattack. Carl died without realizing how Dio had pierced her chest.
Dio and the guards survived an attack on the Cave Restaurant, and Drobada discovered the newly emerged Nen user San. As the group returned, Dio realized his Nen Beast had been successfully conjured and considered how to develop it to protect himself if his Time Stop ability was exposed.
Dio developed a weather-based Nen Beast to conceal his Time Stop and help him escape, then returned safely with Mumuzawa after an attack. He named the newly created, self-aware creature Atmosphere Creator.
Prince Mumuzawa spoke with Dio about the royal succession and asked whether Nen could give her the power to change her fate. Dio dismissed Nen as a martial arts term and left to resume his patrol, while Mumuzawa remained alone, disappointed and unsure who she was knitting for.
At the auction, Dio sensed an attack and led Mumuzawa and Bokushin away before panic spread through the hall. A monstrous flying fish trapped the remaining guests and began devouring them, multiplying as it fed.
Dio, Drobada, and the others discovered that a Nen ability had sealed the auction venue, while a separate unseen threat was killing people on the third floor. Dio led Mumuzawa and Bokushin away from the danger, but his Ripple Radar detected enemies in multiple locations.
A mercenary squad entered the building and was ambushed by giant fish emerging through Dio’s fog, leaving Marol maimed and the team furious. Dio watched the fight through his Ripple Radar and wondered what had happened as the fog continued to spread.
Qi Peixin recalled his brutal childhood and explained his plan to kill the Kakin prince before unleashing his man-eating Grotesque Fish in the sealed building. As Lakshya and Marol climbed through the mist, they renewed their resolve to finish the mission, while Dio watched unseen and threatened them.
Dio carried Mumuzawa and Bokushin through the building to reach Drobada, then tried to break through a mist-covered window with a coordinated strike. Their attack failed, and Drobada encountered San outside.
San used his ability to open a one-person doorway through the sealed wall, forcing Dio to choose who could escape. Dio sent the Twelfth Prince out first, then turned back for Bokushin and led her onward.
Dio fought a fish-shaped Nen Beast and discovered that it tracked prey by vibrations, while Lakshya used [Snowfield Silence] to evade a school of the creatures. Lakshya and Marol then followed the fish deeper into the third floor.
Lakshya and Marol approached the Auction's main hall, where Lakshya encountered Dio and fled back toward his partner. Dio shot and killed Marol, and Lakshya pursued him before a Grotesque Fish blocked his path, leaving him raging at Qi Peixin.
Dio discovered how the Monster Fish tracked its prey and cleared the first two floors, then found that Bokushin could not withstand the Nen pressure coming from the third floor. He left her hidden in a restroom with his cloud and headed upstairs to face the threat.
Qi Peixin used the [Leader Catfish] to hunt Lakshya, who discovered that Qi Peixin was hiding inside the fish and attacked its vulnerable belly. Just as Qi Peixin nearly killed Lakshya, Dio intervened with gunfire, leaving Qi Peixin wounded but still fighting.
Lakshya and Dio each tried to exploit Qi Peixin and the catfish while the [Leader Catfish] fought Lakshya and the smaller fish devoured one another. After Lakshya forced Qi Peixin to retreat and Dio attacked the smaller fish, Lakshya closed in on Dio, with both men planning to use each other as bait.
Dio discovered that [Leader Catfish] sensed Nen, but the fish suddenly became a mindless, frenzied beast. Lakshya tried to escape using Marol’s Thread End, only for Dio to seize him and demand a ride along.
Dio hid from the Leader Catfish by suppressing his Nen and using Ripple for protection, then followed it after it stopped hunting. He used Time Stop to reach the Light Steel Bullets embedded in its back and turned them into Nen Nails that steadily dissolved its aura as it swam toward the auction venue.
After killing Qi Peixin, Dio burned his corpse and reflected on the dead enemy’s apparent suffering. He then examined two dead mercenaries, realizing one had turned back to retrieve her companion’s body, before searching them for clues about the bounty on him.
Outside the building, Drobada feared that the attacks from the enemy factions would cause it to collapse once the force holding it together disappeared. After receiving a message from Dio, he urged the Twelfth Prince to move farther away.
Dio escaped the collapsing Nampis Auction House with the unconscious Bokushin and warned Mumuzawa and Drobada to leave before trouble arrived. As they drove away, he spotted other Nen users nearby and avoided another fight.
Dio traced the failed bounty on his life to a Kakin spy network called the Zoo, while Cheadle reported that the bounty’s poster had killed himself. Dio declined Cheadle’s offer to take over the investigation and decided to handle the matter himself.
Dio discovered that the stone hidden in the box was a fragment of the Stand Arrow, which burrowed into The World and triggered an uncontrolled, extended Time Stop. After regaining control, Dio wondered whether the fragment had strengthened his Stand and decided to test his ability.
Dio discovered that his Arrowhead Fragment had strengthened The World and awakened a dangerous way to extend Time Stop. He named the ability Time Stop Rampage and realized The World could suppress the DIO-like influence it unleashed.
Dio tested the limits of Time Stop Rampage and concluded he could force one extra activation during its cooldown, though doing so caused severe pain and mental exhaustion. When Mumuzawa summoned him, she asked him to teach her his supernatural ability, and Dio agreed only if they made a deal.
Dio asked Twelfth Prince Mumuzawa to investigate the organization targeting him in exchange for teaching her Nen, but she offered to help without conditions. They agreed he would teach her anyway, while Dio privately recognized his growing indifference to exploiting her trust.
