"This man, also taking part in a challenge for the first time as a Floor Master, has chosen to challenge-Chrollo Lucilfer!"
As the host drew out her announcement, two figures appeared on opposite sides of the ring at the same time.
One was Chrollo Lucilfer, the strikingly handsome leader of the Phantom Troupe, dressed in a black coat. The other was Hisoka Morow, dressed like a magician, with fiery red hair and playing-card suits decorating his face and body.
As the two stepped into the ring, the referee came forward to make the final preparations, while cheers and shouts of encouragement rang out from the stands.
Joey looked around and saw one face after another flushed with excitement and anticipation, all belonging to fanatical fighting enthusiasts shouting passionately.
After all, matches above the two-hundredth floor were only open to Heavens Arena members.
And every member was either wealthy or an avid fan of competitive fighting.
Amid this fervent crowd, Joey felt his blood stir at their cries, but his fingers had already begun twitching slightly as he put his plan into motion. Ladybugs took shape one after another and clung to his cuffs.
As one of them passed his right fingertips, it spread its wings and flew away.
Hisoka and Chrollo had already begun talking in the ring. In just a few exchanges, relayed loudly by the astonished commentator, they whipped the audience into an even greater frenzy.
Chrollo had chosen a "Deathmatch"!
"Floor Master Chrollo has actually proposed a Deathmatch! And Hisoka has readily accepted! This match has become a fight to the death!
"Only one of them can survive! The opponent's
