Chapter 151: Dinner × Progress × Kukuroo Mountain
In early December, Joey returned to his home near the Hunter Association Headquarters.
Although the villa was finished, it was still airing out after the interior renovations and was unsuitable for living in.
Joey was not without a place to stay, though. A small pond had been dug near the villa, with a row of wooden cabins beside it.
It was winter, and smoke rose from the cabins' chimneys. Opening a cabin door and stepping inside, he could feel the warmth within.
Ikalgo, Meleoron, and the homebody Palm were all in the cabin.
Meleoron was curled up in a beanbag chair that looked extremely comfortable. He held a magazine and flipped through it intermittently, but his eyes were already heavy with sleep, seemingly ready to close at any moment.
Ikalgo was fiddling with something at the computer, though the lewd grin on his face suggested he probably was not doing anything wholesome.
Palm was leisurely preparing something in the kitchen alone, and a delicious aroma drifted out.
Apparently hearing the door open, Palm, who no longer looked as crazed as before, poked her head out of the kitchen. Seeing Joey, she smiled. "Give me a minute. Master and Morel will be coming over later, too."
Clearly, Palm's change was entirely because Knov was coming that evening. Otherwise, she would never have been so sweet to them.
"Got it. Is something going on? And what are you making? It smells amazing." Joey sniffed hard at the fragrance in the air.
"Some mushrooms Master brought back. Menchi gave them to him. Oh, weren't you going to see Linnie? There are some left, and I saved them all for you. There's also a special Mushroom Pig. Take it along to Linnie when you go." Palm
