The charging insects could not hurt Joey. Before they could even get close, air resistance suspended them all within the white clouds swirling around him.

Before he could examine them carefully, however, their bodies swelled in midair and abruptly exploded.
The exploding insects packed a decent punch, and more importantly, they were thoroughly disgusting.
Unfortunately, neither their power nor their disgusting contents could reach Joey. Weather Report kept them firmly contained in midair.
The clouds were stained with all sorts of colors, making it impossible to examine the writing on the insects. But when Joey turned his attention back to the Poplar Tree, he discovered that as the insects lunged out and exposed its bark in full, the tree revealed its true appearance.
The grooves in the bark formed traces of God Script, and strange Monster Insects were struggling to bulge out of those traces.
Yet the En enveloping the tree could not sense any Life Energy other than the tree's own, as though these Monster Insects were not living creatures at all, but inanimate objects.
Joey did not act rashly. Instead, he carefully observed everything happening before him.
He also recorded the God Script he observed in his notebook. Deciphering it would reveal some information, but that would take time.
After all, he still had to piece the traces he had recorded together bit by bit into complete God Script.
Moreover, there might be differences between ancient God Script and what he currently knew, so reconstructing it could only give him a general understanding in the short term.
