Joey did not know whether his guess was right. The cold rain could give him no further information.
Trying it on one person had produced no results, either, but he still had a gut feeling that something was wrong with the rain.
Why did the monsters leak their presence as they moved? Were they really resisting the rain's erosion of their bodies, or did they have some other purpose?
"Kill every target we can find?" Illumi offered a suggestion entirely befitting an assassin.
Without waiting for an answer, he disappeared along with Zigg and Kalluto. Though phrased as a question, it had clearly been a notification.
Ging did not mind this at all. In fact, he welcomed it.
After all, no one could guarantee that this hastily assembled team would actually show any unity.
Having a veteran like Zigg willing to act was particularly good news in Ging's eyes.
Besides, if they could not solve the problem, eliminating whatever was causing it was indeed one way to resolve their current situation.
The trouble was that it was hard to calculate how many monsters were still lurking in this forest.
As long as these monsters did not deliberately reveal their presence, they were like stones even within En's perception.
"Some technological equipment could actually come in handy here." It was Dwun who spoke. He had made quite a few items during the creation of Greed Island.
He pulled his backpack around, took out several pairs of goggles, and tossed them to Razor and Ging. "Thermal Goggles. Put them on and you can observe temperature changes in the nearby forest. It shouldn't be hard to find them through their temperature."
Razor put them on without hesitation, but List watched Dwun's actions with some displeasure.
